Abandoned Realms has been up for 14 days 2 hours 51 minutes and 43 seconds.



After the meltdown caused a few weeks back by fixing that ass-load of memory leaks I finally caught (it was a systematically repeated error by the old imps, which had been protecting the mud from a bigger catastrophe), we are now looking extremely stable.

However I must caution you that, this doesn't necessarily mean everythings in the clear just yet. The mud has not run for this long in history, and weird things may begin to happen if there are other things clogging it up (there probably is). So keep an eye out for weird stuff and if you can, how you caused it.

yes Ive noticed something very strange ,, I was playing my thief , and I typed c hell Elaedon and the game told me " You aren't learned at hellstream".
Can you check that out for me?

Here's one. You can exit a fight by simply walking away from it if you're being attacked by multiple things. dont know if it works against players too but, basically, you have to have the last word in the round of combat that kills one thing attacking you.

basically it will be like this

mob A's hit misses you.
mob B's hit misses you.
Your attack damages mob A.
Mob A is dead.

look

Mob B is here fighting YOU.

east.

you walk east.

only works when you get the killing hit that ends the round and before the next round starts. if you wait there, you will keep being attacked by the next one.

Mandor, you've always been able to do that. Just attack mob A, mob B assissts, kill mob A, now when you're in between the next round (before mob B hits you with it's next attack) you can walk off. This works because you havn't initiated combat with mob B yet- and you can walk as long as you aren't in combat.
