Taken from another thread. Since our helpfiles resemble d&d ones pretty closely, this quiz can help you determine what alignment/ethos to pick for your character. Take the questions "IC", i.e., if you're planning a human warrior, obviously answer the questions as you feel your human warrior would.
Remember that aligns and ethos are guidelines to help create a roleplay for a character, not straight jackets. Few characters will ever stick completely to their ethos 100% of the time, you're picking a "best fit" not a "cookie mould". There a couple of things that you just can't do, e.g. no lawful attacks in Seringale, no lightwalkers attacking lightwalkers.
This thread will remain open so people can discuss the usefulness of this as a roleplaying device. If you want to share the results of an existing character, or your "real personality".. then use this thread instead:

I got
Your Character’s Alignment
Based on your answers to the quiz, your character’s most likely alignment is Neutral Evil.
Neutral Evil
A neutral evil villain does whatever she can get away with. She is out for herself, pure and simple. She sheds no tears for those she kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. She has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make her any better or more noble. On the other hand, she doesn’t have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil villain has. The criminal who robs and murders to get what she wants is neutral evil. Some neutral evil villains hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies. The common phrase for neutral evil is "true evil." Neutral evil is the most dangerous alignment because it represents pure evil without honor and without variation.
--excerpted from the Player’s Handbook, Chapter 6
Keep in mind the alignment suggested by the quiz is just that: a suggestion. It describes your character no better than a 36-question test would describe you. But it’s a good way to start thinking about how your character acts when confronted with issues of alignment.
Now that your character has taken the test, make a note of which questions scored in the opposite direction from your overall alignment. These exceptions can tell some interesting tales about your character Are you a good character with a greedy streak? Are you a lawful character who can’t stand the village elders? Don’t just roleplay your alignment -- roleplay your alignment exceptions, too. Few characters perfectly embody their alignment choice.
That seals it. My charater is neutral evil. I have to bulid aroud that. |

Your Character’s Alignment
Based on your answers to the quiz, your character’s most likely alignment is Chaotic Evil.
Chaotic Evil
A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can only be made to work together by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. The demented sorcerer pursuing mad schemes of vengeance and havoc is chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is sometimes called "demonic" because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the most dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but of the order on which beauty and life depend.
