Linde the Gleeman is inside the tavern, so unless you are a patron, noble, bard, exc. you cannot even start the first part of the nexus crystals quest. This seems a bit unfair, I guess. If the quest could simply be redirected through someone else, or have Linde hang out elsewhere, it would neatly solve the problem. Just an idea. |
Well, we can invite you in. We as in Heralds and Patrons. Wait for one to come about and ask if you may be invited into the tavern to complete the quest. |
I ran into this problem today. I don't remember the last time I saw a Herald or Patron around to get into the tavern. Is there another way around this? |

A couple of things about Mocker's Tavern and the Traveler's Rest. The Rest still allows the public to enter, but now blocks barred/prohibited people from entering. Mocker's now only permits coterie members, bards, justices, and characters level 15 and under to enter. Heralds and patrons can invite anyone they like into the tavern, except barred/prohibited and exiled.
Istina is in charge of security at the Rest. He's not protected by the law and now slightly easier to kill than most of the guild guardians. What does this mean for you? If you know you want to do the Nexus quest early, just get your first shard from Linde before hitting lvl 16. If you don't do it early, you'll have to get invited in or wait until around lvl 30 when you can break in yourself. |

You know what would be super? If Patrons and Heralds had an ability where they could call for a waiter inside the mocker's tavern. When they did it, it'd be just like PET RETURN whereas Vikka (or some other waitress/waiter) would come to their location so they could buy items from her. |
Added for Heralds, Patrons, Nobles, and Bards. Just say Vikka or waitress and she'll be there. Thank me later for the quick implementation. |

items like beer and wine and food. Speaking of which, the mocker's could use a bit more of a variety of foods and drinks! |
Vikka's now got some different goods for sale. Another suggestion that became reality in record time. Keep them coming. |

I've got one. Could Mystics' shop have practice staves/wands/scrolls/(maybe the things scattered around for Mystics) for (relatively) cheap so we have something to practice with? |
