room affects recoded means that spells like blanket of darkness, eternal
day and cleanse room have changed. You should notice no difference other
than they dont get stuck permanently after mud crashes. This needed to
be done for that reason. There may be some unanticipated bugs from the
amount of work that had to be done to get it fixed.

misty mirage is a new illusionist spell that lowers the amount of light
in the room. Its in the high levels where it will be easier to get infravision.
Although this has only basis in physics at a long distance, its range is short.
Why? Cuz magic. thats why.

Also with this change were a few small tweaks to the hide skill,
so if you have started a thief recently, let me congratulate you on
that wise choice and recommend making an illusionist friend next.

'MISTY MIRAGE'
Syntax: cast 'misty mirage'

One of the more theatrical tools in the illusionist guild's arsenal is their
mirage spell.  Falling between the total obscurity associated with the
shaman's blanket of darkness, and the hazy stupor of drunken
light-headedness that may be afflicted upon others by the songs of a bard.
The fog of a mirage merely reduces the brightness of a room, so that it is
far more difficult to see via ordinary sources of light.

The fog lingers in the room for a short while after the illusionist leaves.
Although the spell is cast exclusively by an illusionist, other classes that
depend on the cover of night may also use this to their advantage.
