Could make it so the less health you have the harder it is to hide/sneak. Being beat up pretty bad you would think someone would leave more signs, blood trails, scuff marks, heavy breathing, general mistakes, etc.
This would make hide/sneak more offensive and still useful until you are too far gone to be worrying about hide/sneak anyway. Somewhere around 25% or less life could impact it significantly for example.
Or a better option, just give people a random chance to see/hear someone hidden when they enter a room. No direct target but a sign of some sort.
You hear a faint sound as you enter.
You see a shift in the shadows as you enter.
Check verse INT/WIS maybe so a melee type has a lower chance but a chance. Casters are more likely to see/notice something that? |

this sounds like a pretty good idea and a great way to make hide more predictable and get rid of that shitty adrenaline mechanic |

How is it fair that the ranger be allowed a way to know that he has successfully camouflaged whereas the rogues will never know for certain? |
If this is true please submit a bug report in game. |

doesn't seem to be true, just tested it. I can't see how I'd know I was camouflaged if I was a ranger |

Haha. It is true. If you walk 1 room while camouflaged, you got a debuff called quiet movement. The intent was for the rangers to not be allowed to move more than 1 room per 40 moments or smth. So to know it, just walk 1 room, you'll know if it succeeded....
It's not really a bug though. |

Also found out that it still gives you the affect even if you step out of camouflage. So in theory it does not tell you if you are or are not camouflaged. You still have the same risk moving and breaking camo. The best bet is to spam it three times. If it is 100% and you have adrenaline. I have been 100% successful spamming it three times. |

I think the issue with warriors vs. hiding people is also related to the reduced effectiveness of lag skills. Before warriors had any AoE skill, the counter in fighting a rogue was to lag them to death when you had the chance to fight them. It seems like it's much harder now to just chain-lag someone, which may make it more appropriate to have a better AoE skill for warriors. |
