Colored emotes are distracting. They always just stand out to me. I wish they would be the color of every other action in AR, just plain old light grey, like all the other socials.

If someone abuses emotes to make people think they're doing something they're not they should be punished. Saying that you're giving someone gold or using a skill when you're not is bad roleplay. Your socials and emotes must match your character's actual actions.

They entire playerbase shouldn't be punished by distracting text because a few people aren't playing by the rules.

you can turn color for emotes off in the color section. Type color to see what you can turn on and off.

Thanks I didn't know this

edit: My point about people abusing emotes needing to be punished still stands.

Personally, I prefer very few things to be colored so the things that I do have colored stand out more to me. I keep most color options off and handle specific things I want colored client-side. We have people who prefer more color in their game, and that's fine too. I think the best option, like Vanisse said, is to make sure players are aware of our color options early.

I don't think it's a bad idea to give people the options to set their 'autolist' during creation.

gotta keep the creation work down so people don't just say fuck it and close the window

I don't like players knowing that a particular action was an emote vs a skill or item so I'd like to see the colored emotes go, but I don't really care much about it.
