So I have a good align area damage spell. Let's call it firestorm. So now I chase a evil guy to emerald. I want to firestorm him but I'll blast the good ones too. Wouldnt it be nice if I could show all of them mercy instead of killing and damming myself. Or is it a good con. |

I got this attack called cuddle bunnies, it only hits evil people for super damage and does not hit the goodies in the room. Its pretty cool though. |

i want to firestorm a necro with his zombies or a ill with illusions. if he stands next to goodies i cant.
my suggestion was mob mercy. mercy is bring down to 1hp not kill. but its a bad idea i accept it. lots of abuse options
goodies cant kill good aligned mobs. hence my suggestion.
I mistakely killed a ministril he walked into my wildfire. I guess its something good aligns must deal with. |

I see no problem with necros hiding behind good aligned mobs to prevent AOE spells. That's one of the drawbacks of playing a good. You can't play as recklessly because you need to be mindful of collateral damage.
It's not very nice to carpet bomb civilian neighborhoods to get to one bad guy in real life so I don't see why we have to sugar coat things for goodies in the game. |

Sucks. For what it's worth, I believe you can atone by killing other evil mobs to reduce the damnation affect time.
My advice is that you should decide whether or not your character believes that its worth the risk. And if bad things happen, play it out in character and move on. Or do whatever your character would do. |

We shouldn't. Not ever. If you don't want to play an evil, but don't want to have a character burdened by the empathic regard that's typically part of a goodie, roll a neutral. (EDIT: I guess one -could- roll with plans to attempt to RP an align change, though.)
Still Andrael, I wouldn't sweat it. Just rebound along the lines that Vevier advised.
Let's hear it: What's that? How's it go, again?
