Per usual, not "nobody". Some do care how they are treated by faceless individuals, who are very quick to use an attitude they wouldn't otherwise use in face to face interactions. Suggestions you don't like can be dealt with without the insulting attitude you seem so fond of. Can anyone stop you? No. However, the reputation you garner from that is entirely laid at your own feet. None of this is new. |

I'm getting mixed messages because we just got a suggestion in another thread asking for nonlethal tournaments on account of pk being too highly lethal. |
Sorry to veer from a fork already posted and paved but....
.. the impression I got was that if gear couldn't be looted and pdeaths weren't recorded, a multi-round free-for-all type of tourney was more likely to be appealing. Not that PK is too highly lethal. PK should be highly lethal. Otherwise, its not PK. |

Sure, i can accept poor communicators. I honestly didn't know there was a discussion a year ago. I was still having my long break from AR at that time. I can accept ppl will rather quit then fight because chance of death is increased. Not everyone wants a challenge for a level playing field.
Digitaltext: that tournament is called big brawl. Lol. Anyway we having a non lethal tournament? |

I don't really see a huge problem with word of recall. We made skills like shackle, tether, ensnare, etc. We can also curse other players, and weaken them so that they are overburdened (players cannot recall while overburdened). The only change I would honestly like for word of recall at this point, is either to (A) make everyone recall to Seringale, or (B) move the hometowns so that they are all super close to each other. Like super really close. I think our cabal defense mechanics currently necessitate being able to choose other towns but we could make a cabal portal spell for those scenarios |

Among all the reasons in the world that might keep a player from participating in a free-for-all, having something to lose might be the common one that could be done anything about; whether it be gear, con or a nice PK/PD ratio. The less there is that might make something unappealing, the more appealing something will become.
Now, maybe PK's substantial thrill comes more from putting it all on the line and looting the victim, than from the kill factor itself. And in a free-for-all, maybe that's all that would make it appealing: looting and risk. So maybe I'm wrong. Maybe competition, plus nothing & minus risk, defeats its own purpose. |

@Davairus
Okay, this seems almost too good to be true (at least to me) that you are considering the possibility of such a change. But if you really ain't shitting me, then I would definitely support (A) make everyone recall to Seringale. |

Put a timer on recall, 24 hours. Put a timer on gate, 12 hours. Why should an illusionist be able to gate to a zone and instantly get 3 high level npcs in less time than it takes a warrior to go kill two hobgoblins and get purple potions. |

Food coma is real. At least a 1 hour nap if you try to eat while you are full. Or it instantly makes you puke. |

Man. so far Ozaru and Sevaush are tied for this month's AR emotional manipulative rejection award! I'm staying tuned for the winner.
Also what's your beef? You're an illusionist just zip to the person. I mean ffs, you're starting to sound like a guy who spent 500 fucking hours trying to kill one of the fastest players in the game playing an elf healer. It's like:
"Whaaa, they recalled away from me. I have to now cast a spell specifically designed for my class and go right to them."
You're lazy and full of shit. |
