How do I ensure my character is unghosted before delete?

Good day Immortals! Can you allow me to delete please?

I like literally Unghosted before the delete yet I am locked out for deleting as a ghost. Or at least tell me the criteria so I can delete my character? I don't wanna get logged out again for the next delete. Thanks!

you're unghosted if you're not a ghost

if attacking a mob is insufficient to "unghost" we should fix that

if it were entirely up to me we'd have a blanket policy of never restoring any deleted character ever for anybody no matter what and we'd turn off rage delete protection. I assume this exists for a reason though so I don't normally meddle with this system

We definitely have a few people who prefer to straight up delete themselves, but the opportunity to re-log later is taken up on quite a bit from what I have seen. I like having it because I realize that the game is often played by people who are going through stuff and its a way to release negative emotions, some people get so upset in the heat of the moment (who knows why) that they cannot help deleting characters that they do not really want to delete. As long as they arent hurting anybody I dont see any harm.

Feel free to propose an alternatives, like I dunno having a close friend able to allow your delete with a safe word of your choosing. I dont like seeing people spam-kill the priests to get out earlier

When you put it that way I suppose it's best to keep it as it is.

The initial concerned raised by OP still hasn't been addressed and I think we owe him that. He tried to delete while NOT a ghost and it failed. Are we saying we are purposefully stopping people from being able to delete while not a ghost?
