Behold, the Towers of High Sorcery!

Standing tall and proud within the Shadow Grove of Haon Dor are the newly
rebuilt Towers of High Sorcery, constructed atop the ashes of the previous
tower at the behest of the Grand Mistress of Magic. The explorer in you
will find many well-concealed secrets and treasures within its hallowed
corridors, but beware of the masters and their disciples, as not everyone in
the tower is welcoming to visitors. A word of warning - tread not
underneath the tower in the Arcane Stockade if you value your life.

P.S. Apologies for blowing up the last tower. It won't happen again (probably).

All,

By now I hope you've had a chance to take a spin through the new area, The
Towers of High Sorcery.  In the past when we have changed, moved, or removed
existing areas we have received mixed feedback and I'm sure there may be
some of you who have feelings of resistance or resentment of such a
long-standing area being changed.  Yes, there's been a significant change
introduced with this area (no more seashell ring) but just like when we
moved the purple potions we're confident you will recover/adjust in no time
(if you haven't already).  I assure you that there are always valid,
legitimate reasons behind area changes, and this Towers undertaking was no
different. 

I want to thank Davairus for the opportunity to build this area.  I began
working on the project in August 2016 right after my first area build
(Tenebria) got good feedback from you guys.  Once Dav tapped me for this and
gave me the background of what he wanted, I spent the next year building the
area from the ground up.  It is a truly unique, 100% original content-based
map.  You'll sense a theme of Hogwarts-esque hallways, secrets, mobs and
items, and this is all on purpose.  The old Towers circular 'run up in a
counter-clockwise circle to get the bracers and a seashell' was a boring
slap in the face to you guys and we wanted to give you a truly unique, huge,
deep, and secret-filled world as a replacement. 

I put my morts mostly on ice for the duration and poured all of my AR time
into this project, so apologies for taking away from the easy-kill pool.
I'm playing morts again so you'll all be able to pad your pk stats with my
sorry ass shortly. 

One last thing to note: the area was purposefully built in such a way that
it can (and will) be expanded upon in the future.  You never know when
you'll stumble upon a false-backed wardrobe in Grunkys room that you never
noticed before...

When's the last time anyone has had a pk in the tower?

Maybe that should be a stat. In addition to most mob kills. Top areas with kills.

One will figure out where one dies the most and where one dies the least with one's own experience.

There are two sections of the ToHS that were designed specifically with PK-goodness in mind. Plus the area as a whole is conducive to PK:

- Links to two different areas
- Has a Nexus
- Each tower is interconnected at the top and the bottom
- Tons of items that players of all levels will regularly be checking for


First person to get a pkill on the third floor of the Illus tower wins a date with Sheeka.[/list]
