Hey everyone, just curious as to how overpower works. I've so far tested dirt kick on it. Both regular and overpower dirt kick with the water eyes business both last 10 rounds. So I'm assuming overpower doesn't make it or other skills like hobble/bash/trip/etc. last longer than normal, but more of a chance to succeed?

That's basically true. Comparing an overpowered skill to a regular usage is like comparing a lvl 50 use of the skill to a lvl 42 or lvl 45 use. You won't notice bash lasting longer, but the level advantage helps it land. Some bells and whistles have been added to some overpowered skills through recent patches.

Q1 2018:

Warrior
* Failing overpower will now allow the intended skill to go through.
* Overpowering berserk now has more hitroll, damroll, and healing.
* Overpowering warcry now has more hitroll, afflictive save, and duration.
* Overpowering hobble now has an increased chance to be successful and is harder to recover from.
* Overpowering overhead crush now does increased damage and can break the target's protective shield.


Overpowering an overhead crush against a caster is BIG DEAL. You'll also see a few more overpower updates in the soon-to-be-released Q1 2019 Patch.

Ok, so you compared it to skills being used at 50, 45, 40, etc. What about when you are rank 50? Will it then go higher than that or is 50 the cap for skill usage as well?

50 is not a cap, so overpower can still give you a level advantage on skills in 50 v 50 fights.
