the keepers will have powers, and wont have to worry about the idle purge at the end of every month, which makes them great for uncaballed semi-actives, that still want to fight pk. It also is an advantage over just being uncaballed. |
Except that people are going to target you primarily because you have a cute [KEEPER] in front of your name... which would be a disadvantage... since you're more of a target for being ganged more often. |

"Any reason Keepers aren't on motd if they're open?"
"basically they are going to sac rares and go after hoarders
and ppl who want rares will band against them"
if i read the whole thing about the motd correctly, keepers are tagless and only other keepers know who the keepers are. But perhaps I read it wrong... |

that's not possible, because they will have to defend their cabal |

I think when Mahkan likened keepers to assasins he meant that they too will forgoe conventional cabal warfare (targeting a cabal item in groups) for more individual combat (which has a character rather than an enitre cabal as its target). |

I dunno what you guys are talking about. Haha. Defending a cabal is too hard? Lets look at that then. I'm willing to discuss and re-evaluate everything and do whatever it takes to balance that out properly and fairly. What's reasonable for me may not be reasonable for you. But you can't just have powers for free. Don't bother to even respond if that's your goal. You won't get that. Going independent needs to be a viable option. Also: don't make the general stuff all cabals adhere by into a "Keeper" issue because its not. |

Dav, I think they're asking whether it's going to be:
[ Hum ] [KEEPER] Bob the Builder
- or just -
[ Hum ] Bob the Builder
Whether they'll have a viewable cabal tag by everyone on the "who list" or if they're only going to be known by each other - that's the question. |

People may target you more b/c you have that cute 'Keeper' tag in front of your name, but keep in mind that one of the main reasons people attack others is to gain EQ. What's the point in attacking someone (and making a permanent enemy) who is going to give you mithril and a hell blade? I would think the incentive would be for people to avoid trying to fight with Keepers, since they have nothing really to gain and everything to lose. |

i disagree. if you read dav's mention of the 'keeper of artifacts' that has to do with reloading rares, i think you'll rethink that statement |

One of those things is just what you do about "waiting". I'm serious. If a character has under 20 hours played on any of the cabal applicants I look at, I stop inspecting. Waiting is a good way to weed out the "flash in the pan" rage-deleting applicant (Groq take note), the "lol i flag everyone!! lol" rapidly bored Justice apps, the whiny guys you'll eventually regret having inducted, the OOC guys, the ninja (he "vanishes") etc. I always wait to see how people turn out. That's one thing I've learnt from many experience around cabals in good times and bad. Waiting never puts off anyone worth their salt. |

You know you like it!!!
*laughs* At the rate I'm going , it's going to take me 20 hours to rank to 25... there is NO one on to rank with, I swear.

Does this mean they are tagged then?

Just to make sure they don't get jumped themselves? That's usually why I attack someone. |

Tell that to non-stat armored herald, or the noble with plain restrung items or the knight in guild issue or the naked <insert class here> |
