An Intersection of Two Nameless Roads
+-+-+ | A four way intersection in what might be considered the
| | center of the village. A small, but very full well sits
+ + + +| in the center, the stonework of it done amazingly skillfully,
| | | || but not very creatively. The roads leading off to the
+-+-@-+-+| north, south, east and west are made of perfectly carved

S-+-* +| grass grows between each.

Along the Eastern Road
o | The road heads southwards from here, meandering its way slowly
| | around the outskirts of the dwarven kingdom. Its resilient stone
o | path has resisted much of the wear created by the bustle of traders

Ulsa says 'But is there more out there for me?'

Cyprian grins.

You say 'He may. Anything you know that'd point to that?'

Ulsa says 'Perhaps by putting a dagger at his throat?'

Ulsa shrugs helplessly.

Cyprian blinks.

You say 'I take it you've already done it then.'

The town clock tolls once as the day begins.

You say 'Prior.'

You say 'It's alright, you aren't the same person.'

Ulsa says 'I don't hardly remember my younger days..however it was the name calling that fueled that anger.'

You nod.

Ulsa says 'What I do remember, I wish I did not.'

You say 'You aren't the only one.'

Cyprian leans forward.

Ulsa says 'Would even a Justice of the Light forgive another?'

You say 'I'm sure there are plenty more out there who feel the same way about themselves.'

You say 'Forgive whom? Anybody of the light, you mean?'

Ulsa points at herself proudly.

Ulsa says 'I explained to him that I was an oathed citizen meaning no harm to those of the Light.'

Ulsa says 'He replied stating that Valour does not concern him.'

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

You say 'How judicious of him..'

Ulsa says 'And there I was thinking a good hunt would benefit both him and I.'

You say 'Doesn't accept you yet?'

Cyprian nods sagely.

Ulsa says 'Maybe it is best I wait for him to approach me.'

Ulsa says 'I just hope it is not with a sword and shield.'

You say 'You're right. It is best to just let him happen upon you consistently displaying the same benevolent behavior.'

You say 'That goes for anyone else.'

Ulsa says 'Is it true elves can become very angry easily?'

Cyprian sits up and leans back into the sofa.

You say 'I've heard they have long fuses, and snap after that rather ...firmly.'

You say 'It will be nice once more people good-at-heart begin to surround you mutually.'

You say 'But for now.'

You say 'First and foremost is what Vanisse thinks of you, if you'll worry at all about anything like that.'

Ulsa says 'If I'm to be a follower of her, I would worry.'

You say 'That's what you wanted for yourself, right?'

Ulsa says 'Perhaps that there is my problem, I worry too much?'
A steady stream of energy sweeps by you.

Ulsa says 'Surely did not obtain that trait from mother.'

You say 'No. I don't think you worry too much.'

You shake your head.

You say 'I think you're behaving normally, considering your situation.'

Ulsa says 'Her ways are quite similiar to what I believe myself to be.'

You say 'She and I are almost night and day.'

The town clock tolls twelve times as midnight arrives.

Ulsa says 'Is that so?'

You say 'You needn't measure your worth in the eyes of a deity necessarily all upon similarity alone.'

You nod.

You say 'It's absolutely so.'

You say 'She's flightly. Intelligence burns in her, but she's flighty.'

Ulsa says 'Flightly?'

You say 'It's willful, though. Not uncontrollable.'

You agree absolutely.

You say 'What's a better word....'

You ponder the question.

Ulsa says 'Jumpy?'

Ulsa says 'Eager?'

You say 'Nonsensical in good fun.'

You hear an intense humming from nearby.

You say 'Bright. Loud. Massive stage presence.'

You say 'Hungry.'

You chuckle politely.

The hairs on your skin rise as a static charge ripples through the area.

Ulsa nods.

You say 'She's not fat, though. Oddly.'

Ulsa says 'Much like a performer?'

You say 'Or maybe not. She's divine. She can fashion herself however.'

You shrug.

You agree absolutely.

You say 'Very much like a performer.'

You say 'You simplified it for me.'

You smile happily.

You say 'Thank you.'

Ulsa smiles happily.

The town clock tolls once as the day begins.

You stand up.

Ulsa says 'Can she dance?'

Ulsa says 'Or do you know?'

You say 'Shouldn't be a surprise though, she was a bard as mortal, I think.'

You shake your head.

You say 'I don't know if she can dance.'

Ulsa says 'You should eat.'

Ulsa gives you some bread with raisins.

You thank Ulsa heartily.

Ulsa says 'Try the bread.'

You eat some bread with raisins.

You say 'I remember this...I ate it often as a freelancer.'

Ulsa says 'I wish you would lay off the bacon for a bit.'

Ulsa drinks water from a silver chalice ornamented with pearls.

Ulsa eats some bread with raisins.

You let out a hearty laugh.

You say 'Should I? I guess I could give the bacon to the beggars instead...'

A sparkling new bookcase covered in carved portraits rests here containing the Serin Mystiques: Volume 3.
(Charmed) A venomous king cobra is here, ready to strike.
Ulsa is sitting on some comfortable looking sofas.

Ulsa says 'I don't want to see you with health problems at such a young age.'

You say 'Thoughtful of you. Others probably don't, either.'

Ulsa says 'I'm sure they would bless you with kindness if you did so.'

You agree absolutely.

You say 'Bless me for being bacon-ified?'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

Ulsa shakes her head.

Ulsa says 'The beggars blessing you with your kindness of giving.'

Ulsa says 'Is that not the best feeling out of all?'

Ulsa says 'Giving to those you know who are in great need?'

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

You say 'Oh, that.'

Ulsa says 'There is no better feeling I think.'

You say 'Well, whether they bless me or no isn't too much a concern for me. Though it is good to feel appreciated.'

Cyprian raises an obnoxious finger.

You say '"Bless you, Ulsa! You've eaten so MUCH bacon!"'

You peer intently at Ulsa.

Vikka the serving girl walks in.

Ulsa mutters something quietly to herself.

You say 'You should be queen of pig rears!'
Ulsa peers intently at Vikka the serving girl.
Vikka the serving girl says 'Thats kind of you.'

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

Cyprian blinks at Vikka.

You say to Vikka the serving girl '...you thought I was talking to you..and you liked hearing that?'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

You say '...who would want to be a ..'
Ulsa throws back her head and cackles with insane glee!

You mutter quietly to yourself.

You say '..queen of pig rears...?'

Ulsa shrugs helplessly.

Cyprian sits down s l o w ly.

You sit down.

Ulsa says 'No one in their right mind.'

You say 'Anyway, where was I?'

You say 'That's right...'

You attempt to nod at yourself and get dizzy instead.

Vikka the serving girl walks east.

You say 'You've eaten SO MUCH bacon! ..I lost the rest of it. It'd have been funny if Vikka didn't interrupt the comical genius.'
Vikka tells you 'On my way, dear.'

Ulsa sniggers at the subject.

Yuck, try to cover your mouth next time!

You tell Ulsa '..."dear?"'

Ulsa raises an eyebrow.

You tell Ulsa 'For another's ears. Vikka just called me something strange.'

Ulsa says 'You have a dear?'

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

You shake your head.

The town clock tolls once as the evening begins.

You smirk.

Vikka the serving girl walks in.

You say 'I don't.'

You say '"On my way, dear," she said.'

You shrug.

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

You say 'I haven't a clue what that's about.'

Ulsa says 'You are the only one I truly trust so far.'

You say 'It's not misplaced.'

You shake your head.

You are thirsty.

You say 'You can rest on that, at least.'

Ulsa nods at you in agreement.

Ulsa smiles happily.

You say 'But Vanisse...she's a fun goddess. She has a very serious side few see, though.'

You say '..it's an unfounded suspicion of mine.'

Ulsa says 'I have a hard time trusting others, especially from the cruelty of mother.'

You say 'Tell me about your mother, if you could though. Speaking of.'

You peer intently at Ulsa.

Ulsa says 'To learn more of her?'

Ulsa says 'You know the one..that one that fed me the regurgitated worms!'

Ulsa says 'The evil witch!'

You say 'Yes. What she had done to you. It was apparently enough to impact you so that you still resent her aloud.'

You agree absolutely.

You say 'That one.'

Ulsa says 'Who knows where she is now, I surely don't.'

Cyprian squares a leg across his other knee.

The town clock tolls twelve times as midnight arrives.

Ulsa says 'Do I forgive her? Yes.'

Ulsa says 'Afterall, she provided me with this life.'

You say 'You forgive so readily..'

Ulsa says 'I would like to one day come across my brother, just to be nosey.'

Vikka the serving girl walks south.

Ulsa says 'I have few to forgive you must know.'

Ulsa says 'Very few have placed such cruelty upon me.'

Ulsa says 'Do you ever cry, Cyprian?'

You say 'I have before.'

You say 'Yes.'

You say 'Many times.'

You peer around yourself intently.

The town clock tolls once as the day begins.

You say 'Why do you ask?'

Ulsa shrugs helplessly.

Cyprian unsquares his leg.

You stand up.

You don't know any spells of that name.

You lost your concentration.

Ulsa says 'Just curious as ever.'

A string of sausages suddenly appears.

Ulsa says 'I like to continually learn.'

You nod.

You say 'You can ask. I may or may not tell.'

You snicker softly.

You get a string of sausages.

You sit on some comfortable looking sofas.

Ulsa peers at you intently.

Ulsa says 'That is about as bad as the bacon..'

Ulsa says 'Here.'

Ulsa gives you some bread with raisins.

You say '...did I forget to eat the sausages..?'

You mutter quietly to yourself.

You eat some bread with raisins.

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'Save them for the beggars.'

Cyprian slips the sausages somewhere...in-con-spicious!

You drop a string of sausages.

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

Vikka the serving girl walks in.

You get a string of sausages.

Vikka the serving girl tells you 'Sorry, you'll have to sell that.'

Ulsa says 'I don't think the beggars come into the Tavern.'

You snort derisively.

Ulsa throws back her head and cackles with insane glee!

You yell 'Noone's going to buy divine sausage, Vikka!'

You yell 'It's bestowed for free already!'

You say 'They don't.'

You shake your head.

Vikka the serving girl walks south.

You say 'Istina does a good job keeping this place safe.'

You say '..for the most part.'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'This place needs a bodyguard.'

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

Ulsa says 'A bouncer of sorts.'

You say 'I'll mention it when it crosses my mind. Maybe it can be done.'

You say 'So you're unsure about divinity, though?'

You say 'It's alright if you are.'

Ulsa nods slowly.

You say 'It's fine. The best thing you can do is tell Vanisse though, soon as you're sure. You should never mislead a divine intentionally.'
Ulsa says 'It would bring a huge target upon my back..'

Ulsa says 'And like I said, I seek the companionship over all.'

Ulsa says 'Vikka!'

Ulsa scans all around.

Ulsa scans north.

Ulsa yells 'Vikka!'

You say 'She's selective, as usual...'

Ulsa scans north.

Ulsa says 'I'm not worthy of her slop?'

You shrug.

You say 'Neither am I.'

You say 'Watch.'

You stand up.

You say 'Speaking and yelling for good measure.'

You say 'Vikka!'
Vikka tells you 'On my way, dear.'

Vikka the serving girl walks in.

Cyprian blinks.

Ulsa raises an eyebrow.

You say '...'

The town clock tolls once as the evening begins.

You say '...she came?'

The skies turn more peaceful as the surge finally departs.

Ulsa throws back her head and cackles with insane glee!

You say '....t-thank you.'

You mutter quietly to yourself.

Ulsa smiles happily.

Ulsa says 'Anything outside of fruit, might not be so good for us.'

You snicker softly.

Vikka the serving girl walks south.

Ulsa says 'You know, we need to maintain a healthy diet.'

You say 'You're a "fruitarian."'

Heh.

You poke her in the ribs.

You poke her in the ribs.
Ulsa says 'Have you had green beans before?'

You say 'Fruitarian!'

Ulsa smiles happily.

You shake your head.

You say 'Not lately.'

You say 'Brumblwitz told me as much. There was a stack of them on the bar table not long ago.'

Ulsa says 'And grapes are beyond delightfulness.'

You say 'Fermented?'

You say 'Kidding. I knew what you meant.'

Ulsa says 'Ripe, just ripe.'

You nod.

Ulsa smiles happily.

You say 'What else suits you? Or is that about all there is to "Ulsa's Extravegant Diet."'

Ulsa says 'I want you to start eating more healthy, do you think you can do that?'

You say '...what an odd remark.'

The town clock tolls twelve times as midnight arrives.

You say 'I suppose I could..'

You say 'Never thought about it..'

Ulsa says 'Sometimes I will have some bread and chicken, but I prefer food that is grown from the ground.'

You say 'Straight from Thera. Now that makes better sense.'

Cyprian nods sagely.

Ulsa says 'But I've heard bread can put on some pudge.'

You nod.

Ulsa nods at you in agreement.

You say 'That's why alcohol does nearly the same.'

Ulsa says 'That too..'

You say 'It's made from bread derivatives.'

Ulsa points at you. How rude!

Cyprian rolls his eyes.

You bury your face in your palm with a sigh.

You say '...I'll think about the ale. I don't drink near as much as most do though!'

Cyprian pleads his case.

Ulsa says 'Just consider it is all I'm asking, but it is your decision.'

You say 'Of course.'

You nod.

Ulsa says 'I just would not want to see you fall from the sky.'

Ulsa says 'That's why I eat healthy..'

Ulsa says 'If my wings were to fail on me due to being overweight, what would I do with myself.'

Ulsa says 'I try to stay as active as I can.'

Vikka the serving girl walks north.

The town clock tolls once as the day begins.

Ulsa says 'Who am I to judge? I gamble heavily.'

You say 'It's apparent you pay attention to a lot of those kinds of things.'

You say 'Don't get me started on your wagering.'

You snort derisively.

You say 'It's not the time, anyway.'

Ulsa says 'Maybe I should pick up on smoking..'

You say 'Brumblwitz does. He seems alright.'

Ulsa says 'He somewhat reminds me of a halfling.'

Ulsa snickers softly.

Ulsa says 'He's eager and jumps right into it!'

You tell Vawairiwal 'I'm sorry. It's looking like I won't be able to join your formation after all.'

Vikka the serving girl walks in.

You agree absolutely.

Ulsa says 'A gnomeburger!?'

You say 'He is a viviacious sort.'

Ulsa says 'My goodness, Vikka.'

Vawairiwal tells you 'Its ok...'

Vawairiwal tells you 'We just broke up.'

You say '..oh you wouldn't believe..!'

Vikka the serving girl walks north.

Cyprian palms his face.

You say 'Kitten-eye cookies!'

Krug yells 'Fist of War, guide my blade for the fallen!'

Ulsa says 'Are you trying to run this establishment to the ground?'

Cyprian pleads the outrageous concept to you.

You yell 'Kitten-eye cookies!'

You say 'I've seen them!'

Ulsa says 'Actual eyes of kittens?'

You say 'I didn't get a good enough look. I wasn't appetized at all...'

Ulsa eats a handful of nuts.

You say 'But that's how they were listed on the menus!'

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

Ulsa says 'Oh, I found something for you some moons ago.'

Ulsa snickers softly.

You say 'For me?'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

Ulsa agrees absolutely.

Ulsa looks in a Loot Sack.

Ulsa says 'You might be able to use it now.'

Ulsa smiles happily.

Ulsa gets a thin journal from a Loot Sack.

Ulsa gives you a thin journal.

You say '..I was just thinking about getting one.'

Ulsa smiles happily.

You say 'Really, I was.'

Ulsa smiles at you.

Ulsa looks in a Loot Sack.

You say 'I can make butter, but I'm not churning right now.'

Ulsa gets a quill with a white feather from a Loot Sack.

You say 'A quill!!!'

Ulsa gives you a quill with a white feather.

You say 'Where'd you find that!'

Ulsa cheers and sings... she is just BURSTING with joy!

You say 'I had NO idea where to buy one!'

Ulsa says 'I was flying around and stumbled upon it.'

Rimath the trader auctions 'Place yer bids! a fiery dagger is being auctioned for 1000 gold!'

You say '...tell me you plucked it off yourself and we'll have problems.'

You peer intently at Ulsa.

Ulsa says 'Thought I seen your name on it as I flew by..'

You say 'Definitely! Gladly I'll share my name with it!'

You put a quill with a white feather in a leather backpack.

You get a quill with a white feather from a leather backpack.

Ulsa says 'It was laying upon the ground, someone left it behind.'

You say '..oh I like what it says.'

Ulsa says 'The quill and the journal.'

You say '..it's a wishful cliche though. Applicable in a more abstract sense.'

You thank Ulsa heartily.

You say 'Thank you for both these.'

Ulsa smiles happily.

The town clock tolls once as the evening begins.

Ulsa says 'You are quite welcome.'

Ulsa looks in a Loot Sack.

Ulsa gets a stray strand of hair from a Loot Sack.

You say 'They will be put to use. And provided I'm not sacked..'

Ulsa says 'And this..'

You put a quill with a white feather in a leather backpack.

You say '..you really shouldn't spoil me....'

You put a thin journal in a leather backpack.

Ulsa says 'I just happened to find it too, but what would one do with one strand of hair?'

You say '..hair?'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa gives you a stray strand of hair.

Ulsa says 'One strand of it.'

Cyprian grins.

Ulsa says 'I was thinking about gifting it to a bald man.'

You say 'I have a mischief prop.'

Ulsa says 'Or a bald female dwarf..'

Heh.
Ulsa snickers softly.

Ulsa smiles happily.

You say 'Wrong man. I'm not bald yet.'

Ulsa says 'Keep it if you wish.'

You put a stray strand of hair in a leather backpack.

You say 'I will.'

You close a leather backpack.

Ulsa says 'You might become bald one day with old age.'

You say 'I'll find something awful to do with it.'

You snicker softly.

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

Ulsa says 'Oh I know!'

Ulsa says 'Tickle Blyx with it!'

You say 'That's one good idea!'

Ulsa says 'She's not really a mosquito is she?'

You say 'And Nyhlis.'

You say 'I'll wave it at him. He waves trouts an awful lot...'

Cyprian blinks.

You say 'Mosquito? Heavens no...'

Ulsa says 'Trouts? Like fishy fish?'
The town clock tolls twelve times as midnight arrives.

You nod.

Ulsa says 'Why would one carry around trout?'

You say 'He's..about the level of strange Vanisse is.'

Ulsa says 'Wait..are they still living?'

You say 'Maybe a tad lower.'

You say 'I don't know if they're living or not.'

Ulsa says 'Does he stink?'

You say 'But he waves them around angrily..sometimes happily.'

You shake your head.

You say 'I haven't picked up any stench.'

Ulsa says 'Alright, now that is odd.'

Ulsa says 'I've never met him, so I cannot be quick to judge.'

You say 'He's amusing.'

You say 'And I want to say something..'

You say '..about this 'judging.''

Ulsa nods at you in agreement.

You say 'The whole idea behind not judging someone is in reference only to something you might be doing, yourself. Or will do.'

Ulsa nods.

You say 'If noone judged anybody...'

You say 'There would be no order anywhere. All mortal behavior would have to be written in protocal.'

Yuck, try to cover your mouth next time!

You say 'Protocol, rather.'

Ulsa says 'That is a good question.'

Ulsa says 'I like that.'

You say 'Judge, but be fair.'

Ulsa nods.

You say 'And be sure you don't do the same things.'

You say 'Otherwise, judge away.'

Ulsa nods.

You say 'But this is my own opinion. I didn't receive it from on high.'

You shake your head.

The town clock tolls once as the day begins.

Ulsa says 'Oh a beggar..he will surely pick my pocket!'

You say 'How much?'

Ulsa shrugs helplessly.

Ulsa says 'Depends how hungry he is I guess.'

You snicker softly.

You say 'I thought it bothered you, for a second there.'

A special guard yells 'Tyrosil is a criminal! PROTECT THE INNOCENT! BANZAIII!!!'

You say 'I was going to say..'

Ulsa shakes her head.

You say '..what that beggar stole from you..'

A dwarven city guard yells 'You will feel the weight of the law, Tyrosil!!'

You say 'Versus what you lose in gambling...'

Ulsa says 'I'm likely close to winnings of two million gold pieces.'

You say 'So you say.'

Ulsa says 'But I have lost a fair share in return.'

Ulsa says 'But I've been storing some away in the bank.'

You say 'I wouldn't say that so freely.'

Ulsa says 'So I'm learning..and that is good.'

You peer around yourself intently.

You nod.

You say 'It is.'
Ulsa throws back her head and cackles with insane glee!

You say 'But this Vanisse issue.'

Ulsa nods at you in agreement.

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

You say 'You can ink it or wait until you're faced with her. I'd do the latter, but that's me.'

Ulsa says 'I will continue to think upon it, maybe I will learn of a talent I never knew before.'

You say 'Please let her know that I intend to intercede on your behalf to her, if it's anything punishable.'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'I have told a few mortals that you are my advisor, I hope this is alright?'

You nod.

You say 'It's fine.'

Ulsa says 'Only that vampire and some...Duke I believe he was titled.'

You say 'It doesn't matter who may know. I'm not embarrassed by it.'

You shake your head.

Tyrosil yells 'AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!'

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

Ulsa scans all around.

Tyrosil yells 'AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!'

Ulsa says 'Someone is hurt, maybe?'

You are already standing.

Vikka, the serving girl of the tavern, stands waiting for a customer.
(Charmed) A venomous king cobra is here, ready to strike.
Ulsa is sitting on some comfortable looking sofas.

Vikka the serving girl walks east.

You sit on some comfortable looking sofas.

Ulsa says 'Sounded like a bloody scream..'

Ulsa says 'A bit uncomforting.'

You say 'It did. I ignored it for the circumstance at hand.'

Ulsa says 'Perhaps your hearing is not as great as mine.'

You say 'I wouldn't doubt it.'

Ulsa says 'I can hear even faint footsteps.'

You say 'Can't scare you then...ever...'

You sigh.

You say '..all's well that never began to start with.'

You shrug.
Ulsa says 'Yep..you might be stuck with me.'

You say 'You're welcome to think so.'

The town clock tolls twelve times as midnight arrives.

You say '..well.'

You peer intently at Ulsa.

You say 'You WOULD make a great feather duster.'

You smirk.

You say '..well I thought it was funny.'

You chuckle at your own joke, since no one else would.

Ulsa says 'Sorry, I was daydreaming.'

You shake your head.

You say 'Don't be sorry.'

Ulsa chuckles politely.

Ulsa says 'Seems you have a new friend..'

You say 'News to me.'

Cyprian shakes his head to himself.

You say 'Ulsa.'

Ulsa says 'Yes?'

You say 'I'm sure I'll be asked as much later.'

You say 'So know it's the only reason why -I- am asking.'

Ulsa nods.

You say 'I do want to understand what moved you to call upon Vanisse, and what it is that occurred to you that she isn't for you.'

You say 'This is for formal purposes, I'm fine with your decision if it's what you, yourself, want.'

Ulsa says 'It is you who moved me towards her. I have not strayed from her.'

You say 'Oh..I thought..'

You mutter quietly to yourself.

Ulsa says 'Must a follower be a Knight?'

You say '..I thought you said you weren't sure whom you wanted to worship...'

You say 'A knight? To worship Vanisse?'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

Ulsa says 'It is her I wish to praise.'

You say 'Or to worship at all? ..I think I've confused myself.'

You say '..not the first time.'

Ulsa snickers softly.

Cyprian points at himself, obviously confused.

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

You say 'Okay. So you do seek to worship her.'

Ulsa agrees absolutely.

Ulsa says 'Her traits are what I find in myself.'

You say 'That's what you're saying. But you're wondering whether you meet qualifications for the suitable 'matchup,' for lack a better word.'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'I'm not sure what she would consider me to be worthy of becoming.'

You say 'Hmm.'

You say 'Do you know, yourself? The answer to that question? What you're worthy to become?'

Ulsa says 'My profession? I'm not sure as of yet.'

You chuckle politely.

Ulsa says 'That's what I was saying, I was hoping to find something I was good at!'

Ulsa says 'I have quick hands, that I do know.'

You say 'Oh, you'll find something. That's without doubt.'

The town clock tolls once as the evening begins.

You say 'But it has no weight in reference to your worth as a worshipper of hers, I don't think.'

You say 'In all honesty I never cared a whit about prospects as a Herald when I began to worship her. If that's any help.'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'All I can do is pray for now, and seek out new adventure.'

You say 'It seems drull. But it's true. A toil in and of itself.'

You frown disapprovingly.

You say 'Mortality certainly isn't fashionable, is it?'

You snicker softly.

Ulsa says 'You were not destined to become a Herald at birth?'

Ulsa chuckles politely.

You say 'No.'

You shake your head.

Ulsa says 'What brought the trade upon you?'

Ulsa smiles happily.

You say 'Cyprian, the bard.'

Ulsa chuckles politely.

The town clock tolls once as the day begins.

You say 'Does it sound right?'

Ulsa says 'You can sing, yes?'

You say 'At one time, I thought so. Drink enough and you forget what sounds good and what doesn't.'

Ulsa says 'I do have a harp on the auction house if you would like to practice upon it.'

Ulsa lets out a hearty laugh.

You say 'I was a bard.'

Ulsa raises an eyebrow.

You say 'Picked up the better of two trades I'd see my parents tend to.'

Ulsa says 'Before you were a healer?'

You nod.

You say 'That's right.'

You say 'My mother was a tailoress. My father was the bard.'

You say 'Albenelda and Gipp.'

You say 'So their names, were, anyway.'

You say 'Their, I should say.'

Ulsa smiles happily.

Ulsa says 'Albenelda is a lovely name.'

You smirk.

You say 'Lihra would say that so often.'

You shake your head.
The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

You shake your head.

Ulsa says 'Lihra?'

You say 'Yes. Lihra. She's a lost falme.'

Yuck, try to cover your mouth next time!

You say 'Flame.'

Ulsa nods.

You say 'I guess snapshots won't do. But is there time enough to pain verbal portraits?'

Ulsa says 'A have just a bit of time left.'

Ulsa nods at you in agreement.

You say 'There will be other chances, then. We'll skip to the question directly, then.'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'Would you like to do a bit of gambling before I take a rest?'

You nod.

Ulsa stands up.

You stand up.

You say 'I don't see why not.'

Ulsa beckons for you to follow.

Ulsa spreads her wings and soars into the air.

You now follow Ulsa.

---------+ the east. There is a picture on the wall of the current
roulette champion. It looks like a gnome that has had way way too much to drink.
Someone has drawn a large moustache on the gnome with charcoal.

[Exits: east]
A bar stool rests here close to the bar.
Ulsa the Grand Mistress of Thieves is here.
(White Aura) Keldynn the roulette dealer is here, running his game of roulette.
Raen the tavern owner is here trying to sell you some of his house drinks.
The town drunk is here drinking himself to oblivion.
Keldynn the roulette dealer says 'Hey there, Cyprian! Care to give my roulette a spin?'
Keldynn the roulette dealer says 'There's no way to win if you don't "gamble"!'
Keldynn the roulette dealer says 'Hey there, Ulsa! Care to give my roulette a spin?'
Keldynn the roulette dealer says 'There's no way to win if you don't "gamble"!'

Ulsa swoops down and lands upon the ground.

Ulsa sits down on the ground.

Ulsa crosses her legs.

Ulsa gives you 8000 gold.

Ulsa says 'Take a shot at it!'

You say 'The where, when and why prior to it, will wait. "Why did I choose to be a cleric?" You wanted to know.'

You peer around yourself intently.

Ulsa agrees absolutely.

You say '..what do I do to start the game..?'

You mutter quietly to yourself.

Ulsa says 'I still much to learn of you, Cyprian.'

Ulsa says 'Gamble the amount of coins and the colour and number.'

Ulsa drinks water from a silver chalice ornamented with pearls.

You stake 200 gold on black 15.
Keldynn the roulette dealer spins the roulette wheel, and it lands on a red 18!
Keldynn the roulette dealer says 'You lose! Thanks for the gold!'

Ulsa says 'Oh bet higher!'

You stake 900 gold on red 9.
Keldynn the roulette dealer spins the roulette wheel, and it lands on a red 10!
Keldynn the roulette dealer says 'You won! And here's your prize, 1800 gold!'

The ash falls from the tip of a bucket of angry Fireswarm locusts.

Ulsa smiles happily.

Ulsa gasps in astonishment.

=========[More roulette]==========

Ulsa says 'You tease!'

Ulsa points excitedly at Keldynn the roulette dealer!

=========[More roulette]==========

You say 'I chose to be a cleric because I try my best to see into people, rather than sing them out of themselves.'

A beggar walks in.

Ulsa says 'To see into people, do you mean the truth of their heart?'
A beggar says 'Can you spare anything for this poor old man?'

Ulsa gives a beggar some gold.
A beggar bows before Ulsa.
A beggar says 'Thank you for helping one as poor as I.'

You say 'Where Vanisse ties in, is that I want to be as close to her as I can as a worshipper. If I can help others while reflecting her as accurately as mortally possible...'

=========[More roulette]==========

Ulsa agrees absolutely.

A beggar walks east.

Ulsa's hunger scratches her.

You say 'Then it's a cleric I should be.'

Ulsa's hunger wounds her.

A bowl of rice pudding suddenly appears.

Ulsa gets a bowl of rice pudding.

Ulsa eats a bowl of rice pudding.

You say 'That's your dessert for the month.'

You snicker softly.

Ulsa smiles happily.

Ulsa says 'I like you as a cleric, it fits you well.'

You say 'Too kind, Ulsa. Too kind...'

=========[More roulette]==========

You say '..maybe there's more to it I don't know about yet. But for now, that's the best answer I have.'

=========[More roulette]==========

Ulsa says 'That answer is good enough for me.'

Ulsa says 'If more comes to mind, do let me know.'

Ulsa smiles happily.

=========[More roulette]==========

You say 'I may. It's not very tasteful to spill guts every chance that evokes itself.'

=========[More roulette]==========

Ulsa nods at you in agreement.

=========[More roulette]==========

The town clock tolls twelve times as noon approaches.

Ulsa says 'I should stop while I'm ahead..'

Ulsa says 'Or I will sit here and lose it all.'

You snicker softly.

You say 'I would, sooner than you.'

You say 'Did you want your gold back?'

Ulsa shakes her head.

You nod.

Ulsa says 'It's just gold!'

Ulsa snickers softly.

You let out a hearty laugh.

You say 'I might ink an entry on you in the Mystique one of these days.'

Raen the tavern owner takes out a towel and starts wiping the tables.

Ulsa says 'That would be kind of you.'

You say 'It won't be soon. You could do with little attention right now.'

Ulsa agrees absolutely.

You say 'But it is Vanisse, you seek though?'

Ulsa nods.

Ulsa says 'It is.'

You say 'I beat dead horses. Have I told you that yet?'

Ulsa says 'That I'm sure of.'

Cyprian grins.

You say 'Will you be seen off, or will you go off alone?'

The town clock tolls once as the evening begins.

Ulsa says 'Do you mind walking with me to the altar?'

You shake your head.

Ulsa stands up.

You say 'I don't mind.'

Ulsa spreads her wings and soars into the air.

Ulsa smiles happily.

Ulsa flies east.
You follow Ulsa.

  1. 'Travel-bumps' are only about 1/8 of the log and aren't as numerous as the beginning might suggest, proportionally speaking. Missed some Vikka edits that don't make sense, and Cyprian is double-sitting.

I won't comb logs when I'm pressed for time anymore.

    1. Enjoying these reads a lot! thanks for putting in all that effort to trim them.
    2. Sure, man. You're welcome. I was on the fence about stopping them here. I've got more though (and can catch more) if people enjoy them that much.

Still, only other RPers make it possible. My hat's off to them at the end of a log.
    3. Pssst, Vanisse is a lady.
    4.
    5. Oh, I know. She's a banana lady, and she's out to displace Chiquita. Behold her Freudian admission above. Seriously though, I got the same corrective reaction tonight from a girl at work....it was all good though. She just flipped me a nonchalant bird. It was funny.
