  1. You asked, so here goes. You could have used mirrors, and/or blur. Could have had all three duplicates at once, can't tell if any of them or the mirrors were giant strengthed, or enlarged, or hasted. Try to avoid those windmill cleaves if you can help it, especially if your duplicates are still on cooldown. I find as an illusionist, it can take so much time to prepare, that if you don't do it in the proper orders, you will actually start powering down before you are actually fully buffed. Have to decide how many things to haste, since you can only one per hour (other than yourself). Also, I wouldn't personally bother with terrain on any skilled player, and I have even seen some run about just fine with misdirection on, but that is more likely to confound, imo. Anyway, hope any of this advice helps.
    1. Thanks Kornhole. So regarding mirrors - I never use them because I rely on ordering my dupes to rescue me, and I have a macro for that (order all rescue ethaac). If I have mirrors then it gets way too complicate too fast to keep up with how many mirrors I have active and then do the 2.ethaac or 3.ethaac, etc. I can’t type that fast! So I just don’t bother with mirrors even when PVE, which is most of what I do. If there is a trick to keeping up with ordering dupes to rescue across mirrors please tell me!
    2. Another point about mirrors: AoE immediately destroys them (Conundo used windmill cleave, which counts). Also, if the illusionist is flying, it is possible to determine which image is the real one because the mirrors always walk (this requires a good eye and quick reactions though).

  2. You could set up an alias 1 2 3 4 to rescue 1.ethaac 2.ethaac, etc? I say this without knowing the lag involved if you said rescue to something not there. If there is none, this may work?
    1. when you're tanking, the point of rescue is to bring another creature/person into the tanking position. Mirror images shatter once hit, and if you call them at 50 you are technically the 4th illusionist with three images, e.g. interactions with you directly require "4.(illusionist's name)" as the target until one or more mirrors are destroyed. Using your method and trying to rescue a specific "image" is not very effective. If one image is shattered, you will now need to use "rescue 3.(illusionist's name)", and so forth until all mirrors are down... Even disregarding the lag, it is very difficult to keep up with that kind of thing if you're casting spells AND trying to have rescuing as an option.

      (Though there is also an advanced tactic of releasing a mirror image or two, waiting for the cooldown on the spell to wear off, and calling more mirror images to mess with people trying to figure out which image is real.)
