I was going to post this log from my perspective, but I went back and read the stream and the commentary is kind of funny. Also, the stream pull is like 100 pages shorter, so to spare endless scrolling I'll just do that.

      Since the kick change, there's definitely more incentive to switch between styles. My only gripe is that the chii cost of style switching is crazy high so you can only switch a few times, especially if you have to keep in combat superiority to land your super kicks. This was a good fight and definitely was a lot tougher than I expected it to be, given our last fight. Cheers!

          I haven't run into any problems with running out of chii. Being able to switch while blind/watery is already an advantage over everyone else. I like monks, I still gotta learn how to fight against casters though, but that's just a 'me' problem.

          Yeah Nadrin apparently the 'super kicks' will only work while in combat superiority now, you can't just stay in one style spamming kick forever.

            Monks now have to have combat superiority to do their style-based kicks, e.g. crane kick barrage or snake style sluggish kick. Also, we don't get chii bolt levels without being in superior now. My point is that against a competent opponent that is switching combat styles and flee murdering, we don't have much of a choice but to continuously switch our styles, thereby expending precious chii.

            I'm not 100% but I think you're just saying the same thing we are Dav. If you have combat style superiority then the kicks work. If you don't, then they're just regular kicks.

            You can hit anatomy with combat style advantage to get your fighting style active (e.g. accuracy of crane), and that starts up the special kung fu (extra damage and mental-based attack damage). You can also manually activate the fighting style (by typing it out), you don't need to rely on waiting for it with anatomy + combat advantage. As long as you have that active, you can do the special kick. If you do nothing, even if your opponent switches weapons 20 times (which they could), that active still lasts for like 4-5 rounds. You don't have to have combat advantage for the special kick, and you don't have to ever be in combat advantage to qualify for doing the special kick. Its just based entirely on having your fighting style active. Again, you can pull off these kicks without *ever* having combat advantage. So it is a bit incorrect to say the kicks require combat advantage. They don't require a combat advantage, and they can be done without ever having had one. Also, nothing I have written so far is new. It has all been that way since day 1. The bug I fixed is that the kick was refreshing active style all the time, and keeping the monk in special kung fu mode, also all the time. This needs to be a reward for having combat advantage, since otherwise it means not having to bother training your anatomies, get a combat advantage, or think about doing anything else except spam the kicks, and also do glorious damage without ever changing style. Really, it was egregious, in every way. BTW, to answer the posting change notes question, the answer is no. I don't see why everybody needs the info. You can see how long this post is, imagine trying to explain to people who don't even know how to play monks. They'd get nothing out of it, and probably just feel dumb. I wrote an IC note from the monk guildmaster to the players of the monk class. It was sent 4 days ago. This seems appropriate.
