The early years of A'meenaRaised as an orphan, I have yet to discover my true heritage. I scarcely
remember my youth, aside from the the strong memory of burning pitch and the
sounds of screams. I awoke to find myself in a copse of trees on the edge
of a burned out husk of what was once a forest. Oddly enough, I found
myself not remembering anything except for the vague imprints of that
terrible event. After a few days of wandering a kindly old human woman took
me in as she had others, those orphaned by the war she said. She claimed to
have once been a great warrior, empowered by the light itself and granted
blessings from the gods to fight the Dark Army. She had the best stories,
ones of successes and failures, ones of triumphs and ones of defeat. Never
once did the bitterness of despair touch her stories, she only spoke of hope
and belief, the power of that belief in the light. She taught us all that
such belief can overcome any adversity. She raised us to be kind and
compassionate, and taught us all as our talents lie. I quickly learned that
I was different from the other children, that my pointed ears and mental
acuity as well as manual dexterity indicated a heritage that was different
from the humans, dwarves, and even gnomes. She spoke of the elves, and that
I was descended from their ilk. I was treated kindly but I was ostracized
for my differences. I found comfort in exploring the wilderness, the
forests, meadows, mountains. I found myself hearing voices. My benefactor
called it a blessing of my elvish heritage, "listening to the wind" she
called it. She taught us all in the basics of survival, including armed
combat. I had more than an ample talent at this, a cunning whirlwind in a
knife fight, and I had a genuine affinity for the bow. Upon her passing I
left the orphanage and decided to live the best I could. My talents
lent themselves well to the guild I had chosen for myself, the rangers
guild. I seek to repay the kindness and compassion shown to me as well as
to discover the true nature of my heritage.
Brilliant blue eyes regard the world with kindness and compassion from
within a pale fair face. Slender pointy ears protrude from a crown of
shining blonde hair. Two braids, twin rivers of sunlight, tame riotous
hair that falls down almost the entire length of her tall, slim frame.
The form fitting leathers that she favors reveal alluring feminine
curves. Her smooth pale skin is mostly unblemished, but for the callouses
on her fingers and forearms revealing a lifetime of using a bow.
Her movements are measured and purposeful, revealing a wisdom and
experience her youthful appearance does not otherwise indicate.
