I am probably the last person that should judge someone on a delete before their time, but to delete a vamp in my opinion is a slap in the face to the rest of the ar community. Some of us will probably never have the opportunity to play one and would really like to make one(talking about myself)
I see what you're saying Ozaru (or at least, I think I see what you're saying). Basically, this guy had the Special Player hat on to the degree that he was given the bonus of getting to play a vamp...and he squandered it. Whereas if you were granted the ability to roll a vamp you would relish in the coolness/specialness of it and take the vamp to 50 and fuck shit up.
I'm moving, again. And then again in a couple more months, but that isn't the whole reason I deleted. I one practiced a lot of stuff on this character and never spent the right amount of time to train it all up. So when I pinnacled I was immensely undertrained, and when progressing that far and fast through the levels I strayed away from the little things I wanted to create and finish, thus also not establishing more of the RP that would have been Desdemona.
My sincere apologies to the Immortals whose time I wasted, however brief it was. Ontop of moving I also landed a second job, so things are getting pretty hectic, but I'm not quitting. You can expect me to return sooner rather than later, but you might have a hard time finding me.
I'll still remain ontop of my votes, as should ye all..
I niched at 40 for the longest time with the assassin one, the stop hunger kill was cool as balls on a vampire, that was the one with the most hours. They all had the last name Marhaus, remember? haha, man I wish I could go back and do all that retarded shit again

I wouldn't go as far as saying I would do better with a vamp than him. I can understand the challenges with a vamp because it isn't an easy button for kills. It would be more jealousy on my part, I probably have had chars that could have been reputable and maybe taken to elite status if my rage hadn't gotten in the way. Kudos to you for getting that tag, but yes ceridwel you did get what I was saying for the most part. more jealousy for me than anything else.
To be 100% clear, every vampire created before that change does not automatically mark that player as elite. Being in the halls of the exalted is the only definition of elite that we recognize. There are no substitutes. If you don't have a character in the halls of exalted, you are not free to proclaim yourself elite, and having a vamp before this point in time does not make you elite now. This is binary - you either have a guy in the halls, or you don't. In particular, the vamping done before my time was extremely questionable. They evene gave tard one (if anyone remembers him), who surprisingly turned out to be really a lot better than most vampires had been, until he rage deleted it
Arunore, it sounds like you wanted to put in more time with this vamp than you were able to and I hope you had a little bit of fun at least while you were here with it. Don't let real life get you down too much and looking forward to your next character when you get back.
Also for the record hall of exalted inductees are not even decided by immortals, except occasionally to veto. Its handled by the emissaries (player) group, i.e. the logboard blues, who I am sure have their finger "on the pulse" much more than I do. Immortals handpick those emissaries and then those emissaries handpick the exalted. Just want to make sure people know that because the last thing I want to see is people saying that the halls of exalted is just a game of favorites. Its actually backed up by a council of responsible long-time players who are reasonable and trustworthy enough to be able to make that decision. We (the Imms) are here to oil the wheels, but its otherwise a player-governed thing.
As for how you get in, that may very well be a meta of the day and age, but I don't think I see any characters in there I disapprove of. Its why I picked that for this constraint. But i havent put anyone in it personally.
I am glad you tried your hand at the vampire Arunore, I had various feelings about this one, but overall good attempt I am sure it was tough trying it out for the first time. I am sure your next will be even better.
