Dradge stood outside guarding the establishment. It looked like any
other ordinary mansion in the world, but inside was a different matter. He
could hear woman chattering, babies crying and men walking up and down it's
halls. It's rooms were filled with three to four women each. Some
enslaved, some payed to do nothing more but sit there and grow their
designated seed. Elves, Orcs, Duergars and even Illithids lived there. If
you were a noble or even a rich man and wanted to produce hundreds of
children in order to expand your family name, Dradge's boss was the man to
talk to. It was no whore house, some men never even touched the women, for
his boss had devised means of insemination without contact. Dradge himself
was a child of one of the mothers from the mansion, but he would never know
her or care.
Guard duty was not always a constant thing for him. He remembered one time
his boss ordered him to shake down a man who decided to take the services,
but without pay. So, he travelled to the man's farm house and slightly
smiled to himself, knowing that the man was married and his wife knew
nothing of the man's adventures. Dradge laughed and knocked on the door, it
was opened by a girl no older than eight years. He smiled at her then
entered, turned around and locked the door.
Spinning around he saw the man, his wife, two daughters and one son looking
at him with their mouths open. Apparently his family never saw a Jotun
before, but the man recognized him. "You! What are you doing here?" The
man called out to him. "I am here to collect a debt made of flesh. I'm
sure you know why you're in debt?" Dradge paused looking at him. The man
remained silent and shaking. "As I thought." Dradge continued and walked
over to the man's wife.
His head turned to the man and said "This one is too old." He grabbed the
hair of the woman, took out his sword and decapitated her right in front of
her children. Blood sprayed on them and the walls as they screamed and ran
to the corners, the eldest daughter grabbed her father's arm. Dradge pulled
her away and sniffed the air around her. "This one is sick.. Infected.
She'll be dead in a months time." He sighed not having any luck so far,
went to the fire place, and picked up a fire iron resting nearby. Then
impaled her with it to the wall next to the doorway, watching her eyes open
in surprise as the metal ripped through her torso. Her hands grasped at the
handle then she passed out.
By this time the son of the family rushed him, but Dradge merely turned and
grabbed the boy by his shirt collar, lifted him up off the ground, then
forced his head into the fireplace, holding him down into the flames until
his screams and movement stopped. The smell of cooked flesh filled the air.
By this time the man fell to his knees and vomited. "Well I guess this just
leaves me the girl to take back to the farm. My boss will be oh so happy.
Next time you use his services, Pay." He picked up the little girl, threw
her over his shoulder and walked out of the house. He never saw that man
again.
A WAVE OF CHANGE.
For succeeding in that task, he was assign to this one. Guard duty. The
best work at the establishment for this time of year, it was near a beach
and the wind was warm. He stood up and stretched admiring the sight of the
waves, resting on his polearm. His eyes narrowed on the shoreline,
something was different. The water was receding farther than he had ever
seen before and it wasn't even time of the tide. He took a few steps
forward and focused his sight. Fish could be seen flopping on the sand and
in the distance he thought he heard a roar, but couldn't quite see anything.
His boss opened a window on the third floor and called down to him, asking
him about the unusual site. Dradge shrugged not knowing what to say, this
was all new to him. He turned and looked back toward the beach. Then he
saw it, a giant wave taller than the mansion it's self. He called out an
alarm for the other guards, but it would do them no good. He ran up the
steps and the women started screaming, his boss closed the window and ran
inside himself. Dradge's mind raced as what to do. Should he go into the
lower level? No, that would not escape the sea, the higher level? What if
the mansion collapsed?
By the time he finished his last thought the water hit. Windows shattered,
Women and babies were carried away in mass, pushing past him with the
current. Soon the entire first, second and third level was filled with
water, the building groaned then slowly imploded into debris carried off of
its foundation. The last sight Dradge saw before he regained consciousness
was a woman swollen with child beating at a window that didnt shatter.
He woke up in the sea. His mind boggled at the sheer vastness of it all.
No land could be seen, there was nothing but waves around him. It took his
eyes a while to adjust to the sunlight, then he could spot some debris.
Bodies floated nearby along with broken wood and furniture. The sun set
faster than he expected, looking for food would have to wait.
In the night he could hear women screaming as sharks devoured them in the
distance. Every bump he felt, drove his mind to new heights of fear, but
often it was just debris colliding with him. Just when he thought the sun
would rise enough for him to find something to hold on to, a sea snake bit
his wrist and coiled around it. Luckily for him a dagger still resided in
his boot. Soon he cut it to pieces and freed his hand, but the damage was
done. It was poisoned.
Feeling defeated, he stopped caring about death and gave himself to the sea
and passed out. The next thing he knew his head was struck by a hard wooden
structure, His eyes barely opened feeling paralyzed from the poison. A
Fisherman reached down from the small fishing boat and pulled him aboard.
"Welcome aboard the pride of Darkhaven matey!" The rough looking man looked
at him. Dradge turned his head and vomited to the side hoping the man would
have mercy and put him out of his misery.
Description:
Silver teeth glint from the mouth of this Jotun. He glares at his surroundings including you. His head is bald and his skin is a light blue. Standing taller than three average sized hobbits, his body is toned and trained. The voice produced from him sounds educated yet has a hint of desperation and authority. Overall he looks intimidating, brash, and reckless.
so this was me trying to make a come back, but I've noticed a lot of issues with the player base, I'd kill one character and they'd screw(in a non pk way) with my character on another of theirs due to that. and a completely different player used an invoker to see if I was mining or not then logged in his other char to instantly go after me. point is, I'm not playing a game where players do that. Not naming names cause that is just pointless...putting all that aside, that one death? was an afk mob death ;) DKNs are awesome and fun.
Why delete? If you feel you have an issue, such as the large issue of multing across characters, a deny offense, why not simply report the player in question and be done with it?
You had a good run and I enjoyed the interactions I had with you. For good and ill, across multiple characters. A pity it ended like that.
meh, it wouldn't have been addressed the way I would have liked it to be. I put a lot of work and effort into this char(check out my background) and I don't want it to be wasted on idiots. and with the playerbase the way it is, I'd rather have just me taking my ball and going home instead of two other players. I'll come back when I feel that those players have gone on to something else.
that's basically how I feel Ozaru, but I like to take the best with the worst. I mean, let's take you for example, remember when you were stealing gold out of the Legion coffers for your other character? that was pretty shitty, but I stayed about cause there were some really other good characters on. Which made it worth dealing with guys like you.
rofl, if only I could apply this solution to real life instances. I mean I /could/ but then well..fuck it, maybe when I'm 50 and life gives me some bullshit. my suicide note would definitely read 'fuck this.' and everybody would understand cause it's just my personality.
its funny that you say something like that because I did not steal gold from legions. But you did accuse me of it and then outed two of my cabal chars. You really are a piece of shit.
What you described is multi-charactering. If we catch multi, the offending characters get deleted permanently, with potential siteban for repeat offences. I take the matter very seriously. If you're not reporting because that isn't the way you would like it handled, after saying you won't return until these players have quit, I don't know what to tell you. What you are writing here just sounds crazy.
I just spent a week literally rewriting the notes system to better service players with issues (which was already very effective) so I'm a little annoyed right now.
well, I had a post regarding another player who multied (one who freely admitted it) we could talk about how that player was handled and is currently being handled, but Olyn deleted it.
Rule violations go into the ISSUE list. Everyone else uses it, why aren't you using it? You've violated forum rules and that's the reason why your forum posts were removed. Please don't ignore the processes and then complain when nothing happens. Its not laziness so obviously something else is going on here.
*shrug* I guess I violated the forum rules? all I did was link another post someone wrote on here. as far as the issues thing, I think people are not going to sit there and write it out as a potential cheater pks them(who wants to give someone a pk added to their record while doing that?). it's not fun when that happens. granted that didn't happen in my case. I sort of have a policy of just ending it before a player thinks they're going to get rewarded for cheating. to be more specific about my case, I didn't even get hit, because I watched the player log off, then back on another char and...yeah.
over all I don't really care if a player is banned, slayed, whatever punishment is given. I care more that player(s) even commit to their actions to begin with. those are not the types of players I'd want to play with.
[quotebecause I watched the player log off, then back on another char
That isn't multi charactering, sorry brother. It sounds to me like you made a pretty large leap to get there.
I just hope you make again and have fun doing it. Report people you think are cheating and let the Imm's sort it out. Or do my favorite thing - Kill them after they do cheat and laugh because they weren't good enough, even cheating.
I can trivially move the issue system offline as well, if having to log off is an issue. I think you probably have put way too much expectations on the Immortals for knowing what is going on in the game though. I personally worked 100 hours in the last two weeks, so without the issue list I wouldn't discover anything.
well they used an invoker to locate me, (literally using locate) logged on their other char to go after me, I won't get into the specifics on the forum as to how I know this, but said person knows i'm sure.
well they used an invoker to locate me, (literally using locate) logged on their other char to go after me, I won't get into the specifics on the forum as to how I know this, but said person knows i'm sure.
Why not simply report the issue now in the bug/issue form, for the secrecy it affords, so that we can see the character who possibly committed the offense removed? As Davairus stated, it is a deletion offense, so it certainly would do us a bit of good to have anyone who would do that removed.
You really should look into mothballing your chacaters instead of deleting them. If someone is breaking the rules, you know how to make the Staff aware. If the Staff aren't handling it the way you want them too, fuck off and go play somewhere else.
Anyways, your character was a turd. Glad you deleted.
it's not the staff, but the players. I'm going to go with the fuck off option though, too many other video games to play, too many stories to write and that many more fan girls to appease.
Really the event of somebody changing character specifically to fight with you is no worse than you deleting to avoid that fight. You have basically quit out on a PK. It is the pot calling the kettle black, and because of the circumstances of it, it seems you're actually the only person who could fairly have any fingers pointed at them. May I recommend you write about irony in your first post?
"* ICA = ICC (In-Character Actions have In-Character Consequences), don't misuse OOC commands/mechanisms to avoid ICC. e.g. SUICIDE, QUIT"
Obviously, we don't need to do anything when people quit in the vast majority of cases. I shouldn't have to spell everything out for you to correctly interpret what this means, because most of you have been playing here for over five years. What this means, though, for the benefit of those who do not, is that it would be in very poor form to quit because your cabal was attacked, your item was taken, you were flagged by Justices, you made a bunch of people mad at you (the latter is probably this guys problem, if xanthas statement is anything to go with), etc.
Also, I have not once, in 16 years, felt the need to delete and post that I personally think other players are trash. This behavior is just not acceptable and you are a bad person if you do not feel bad about it.
If we're going to assume that his statements are true, he isn't the only one fingers could be pointed at. The rules also state under MULTI:
"A rule of thumb to follow is: "Your character's knowledge should NOT extend beyond his in-game experience." A player logging in knowing something dynamic about the lay of the lands (like [b:f1613c7e34][u:f1613c7e34]who's on[/u:f1613c7e34][/b:f1613c7e34], or where equipment is, that there's just been a reboot, etc) is ALWAYS guilty of multi. Due to the limited free time of Immortals, those caught in the act will be dealt with harshly."
But then, Mikoos is a turd, so screw that guy.
oh for god's sake. here's the facts that pissed me off: Dude logged on his invoker to locate where I was, I wont' be too specific but it involved keys and/or ore. meaning he could locate me via an area behind a locked door, or if if I was mining. THEN he logs off 10 mins go by and he logs on his other char and runs to me. (he had to go through a small a small hoop to get to me, I watched him as he did this...)
And...there's something else you guys don't know. I'm not a psychic. so how do I know this is the same player and if said player was gunning for me? Welp...I've been a naughty boy and know this via an OOC channel(a different player who didn't piss me off. I never had direct contact with the guy who did.) so yeah I quit out on a PK cause the guy cheated, he literally located me using a different character. Homey don't play that kind of game.
So wait....this mystery 3rd person told you the offender located you using their invoker? And then you saw the invoker disappear from the WHO list and then the potential killer log on 10 mins later.
OOC circle jerk at its best.
This reminds me of the story where dude calls the cops to report his big bag of weed being stolen.
Everything I did OOC was well within the rules. *shrug* they didn't tell me the specifics of the invoker other than the invoker and his other char that logged into attack me where the same player. that player also wanted to talk to me OOC, but I said no...I don't like OOC as it is and limited myself to one person. no who lists, no ganks, no eq nonsense. just ranking. well...it ended badly obviously. I played fair and the person deserved to murder nothing but thin air.
as for the proper channels, not much they could have done.
Locating for your other characters is against the rules and easy to spot in the logs. Easy to report and give us the two character names. When done right away, the timestamp on your report takes care of that, too.
There no need to bring it to the forums. I suggest you give us the info in-game and let it drop here.
It is not OK to leak your character details to somebody with a big mouth. If I find out who that motor mouth is, I will put their head on a pike in north square and ban them.[/size:adda2be4e0][/color:adda2be4e0]
