The Breath of Life
Like most Valourians, Eilayah was born and raised within the city, taught by the local priests, and if choosing the path of combat, trained by retired Knights and other combatants. She was not quite what her direction in life was, as most young people, but she did know being handy with the steel was something she wanted to add to her abilities. Her parents allowed her to enroll in combat training, as long as she did not neglect her classes with the priests and cleric. She excelled very well in both fields, rising up above the other girls and boys. There was however, one young boy, named Garik, who's resentment was growing towards Eilayah. "I am the best in my class. I am far superior. How could a girl be getting more praise than me?" , He would tell himself. He did quite well at hiding these feelings from the other. As the power of anger and resentment continued to fester within, it built to the point where he could no longer take it and would act upon it. He traveled to Darkhaven, where he would seek out the local alchemist. Once briefly explaining his dark intentions, he asked for something to assist with making sure his competition would no longer be ahead of him. Leaving the foul city, he made the journey back to the City of Valour. Eilayah came down with a sickness and was bed ridden. Her training and classes had to cease for the time being. Over time she became worse. Priests could not get rid of the disease upon her. Prayers and communions seemed not strong enough. Garik quietly observed the situation with much content. He soared to the top in his classes, he was number one, despite the cost of others to get there. A few years had passed at this point... The middle-late teen years were upon them. Garik, shining brightly as the strongest and most skilled in his classes, while Eilayah went from bad to worse. The sickness upon her was taking the life from her. Her hair, what was left of it, was very thin, to the point of almost being bald. Her skin, white with a gray tinge. Grotesque warts and blisters arrayed her frail almost lifeless body. Her parents knew not what to do, and the priests and clerics all but gave up at this point. Her last breath was near. The room was all but quite, save for the sniffling of those mourning. Suddenly a bright light appeared. Forcing all to kneel down and avert their eyes. A booming voice coming from the light said, "Eilayah, your life now comes to an end because the hand of darkness was laid upon you by those closest to you. From death, to new life is what I grant you!" Eilayah took her last breath, and there was a long pause. The Light from the Lord of Salt and Sea gleamed brighter than ever. A deep gasp of fresh air could be heard. Eilayah stands, stronger and more beautiful than ever.

Description (commended):

Light shimmers off the slightly curly, small of the back-length blonde hair of this woman. Vibrant blue eyes glow gently, yet the look of determination is obvious. A slight wrinkle on her brow and subtle peer from her eyes shows a cognizance that is noteworthy, to some more than others. She has soft white skin that is inviting to the touch, though one would dare do so at the cost of repercussions. Her general frame is of an average human stature, though it is obvious she is not quite average at all.
