Born, like many of the Avians that fly throughout Serin, in the remote
mountains southwest of Demea Bay, Ethaac had a most interesting childhood
before venturing to Timaran to further his studies of the Illusionary
Magics. Like most Avians, he was raised knowing no last name, as they are
unnecessary. Neither the youngest nor the oldest, Ethaac was the third of
five children in his family and the only male offspring. While both his
mother and his father attempted their best to pay proper attention to Ethaac
and to show him acceptable amounts of affection, both failed miserably.
Their time torn between their profession, the piddly whining of the young
sisters, and the melodramatic youthful tendencies of older sisters, leaving
Ethaac to mostly fend for himself. Over time Ethaac grew bored of family
life and left to explore Serin and fulfill his curiosities.
Description (commended):
This bird-man's face has very sharp features. His nose is narrow and
pointed. He has very prominent cheekbones that make his eyes appear
slightly sunken in his face. The eyes themselves are a glowing green hue
and have no pupil or whites. His body appears light and lithe. Extending
from his shoulders are a pair of massive wings. The feathers are of the
deepest violet and allow him to rise above the earth.
Grayden kind of hits the nail on the head. Ethaac's whole purpose in life was his passion for adding things to the Codex. Other than my one pk death (to Eurayel when she caught me sleeping up from fighting Gaungar to identify his hammer) all of my deaths came from mobs while I was trying to solo them to identify their stuff. Speaking of soloing, this was the other part of Ethaac's m.o., he preferred adventuring on his own. Not that he avoided groups, he just didn't pester people to help him kill tough mobs.
@Kedaleam, to be honest I thought I had six lives left, not one. The Condition phrase I currently had was "The reaper awaits". The last time I took a character to condeath I'm pretty sure on your last life it said "Your next death will be your last" so I thought I had some wiggle room. That said, I was feeling the end of Ethaac coming and embrace it resolutely. Especially how he died his last death: fighting Phemios. His drape of despair needs updating in the Codex and I actually stumbled upon him not knowing I had unlocked the ability to get to him. That Cloud Castle storyline is brilliant but tricky and I didn't know I had unlocked it enough to access him. When I stumbled into his room and he attacked me I got starry-eyed at the though of adding his items. My duplicates weren't the strongest (Wendigo, which is the best for a neutral, but then only the wandering thief and the crazed battle gnome).
@Vevier I'm sorry but I didn't log it, and my mud client buffer is already overwritten! I got lazy and instead of fleeing and healing up I pushed the issue and tried one last "order all rescue ethaac" - which landed, but the lag is horrible and he got me. Ah well - again, I died fulfilling my purpose so all is well.
@Phostan and Vanisse, thank you for the promotion to Consortium mortal leader and I'm sorry I had so few lives left when you did so. I was hoping to help build up the membership and help find more bugs needing ironing out with the various powers and such. Ilromie and Serra have been super active and have superb RP so for what it is worthy there is solid core membership with them. Vellis too when he's around.
Thanks all for the fun! I really like illusionists, even though I never really pk'd with them. Pretty sure dispel was still at 75%. But for running around and adventuring, and especially for traversing from one side of Serin to the other with a snap of the fingers, was super fun.

Oh man... So many interactions over different characters. While condeath seemed like it would happen eventually with making the most abused list several times, I did not expect it this soon.
Regardless, well done on all the additions to the codex, and actually making it to condeath.
This guy was not only memorable and welcoming, but I watched him tirelessly go out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. It's going to be a lonelier game without you.
Let me just say wow, you will be missed. I interacted with you across so many characters. You were certainly a staple, and brought enjoyment to the game when you were around. Sorry to see you gone, but what a way to go. Good luck with the next.

I owe you for finding that damned blue eye. Those types of mysteries are why I love exploring this world. The codex will not be the same without you.
You also taught me that being a Mystic came with mystical powers beyond pushing people into religion. It was always a pleasure.
