Long before the time of Ferwen Dwarves greed ran thick as blood. They
mined deeper than any being should have, taken more than any being dared.
Ferwen was the worst of all Dwarves. He would panhandle a five gold out of
a beggar. To get a gold from this Dwarf would be an act of the Gods
themselves. Having all the riches in the world did not satisfy Ferwen, well
one day he stumbled upon a deity of the strongest power. Knowing this all
powerful being could make him rich he thought up a trickery to snare the
God. This foolish Dwarf thinking he could out smart such a being fell right
into his hand. Given the choice of all the riches he could ever want or a
life of servitude the Dwarf of course wanted the riches. He was then cursed
by the deity who transported him to his golden chambers, proceeded to turn
him to stone. The Dwarf spent five hundred years a statue frozen in stone
until he was granted his freedom but cursed forever to be a solid rock.
Description:
A dwarf that looks to be made of stone is standing before you. He is short and thick but covered in greens, vines hang from his head like hair and a deep thick mossy beard sways back and forth. His hands creek and make a grinding sound as he opens and closes them into fists, small stones seem to fall from his joints and body as he moves along.
