Glugg grew up in a village west of Valour. As a child, he has always
looked upon the castle in Valour. He has always wondered what it would be
like to be a knight of the castle, protecting it's inhabitants from danger.
He would hear stories from the townspeople about the knights crusades and
their brave adventures purging evil across the lands. From then on he's
aspired to be a knight, following their code and etiquette as best as he
could.
As a Jotun, Glugg was blessed with an insurmountable strength but at a cost.
He was slow of the mind and was easily picked on and tricked by other races
of his age. He never understood as to why this was happening to him.
Regardless of how many times he was teased and picked on, he never had the
urge to retaliate at them to him he had grander goals to pursue.
When times got rough he would visit Aberdour's shrine in storm hill to pray
and ask for his blessing.
Glugg's enlightenment
While adventuring in the mansion to past the Drykshtyre Woods, near the
standing fortress. Glugg fought his way through the manor slaying agents of
darkness controlled by the Vampire, Vlad. He fought he way through the
Talamaurs. They were plenty in numbers and they seem to never tire or
diminish. The Talamaurs were a worthy adversary. However, they weren't as
menacing as the butlers that walked around the mansion. The butlers were
fearsome and formidable. They were few in numbers but they were hardy and
violent. They only wandered around the main floor, while the Talamaurs
scour both the main floor and the upstairs. Screams could be heard deeper
inside the mansion. Vlad can also be heard threatening would be adventurers
that would dare enter his lair.
While Glugg fought through the forces of darkness, almost overwhelmed by
their sheer numbers. He was graced by the presence of his Deity, Olyn.
Granting him his favor and requesting for his aid. Glugg, was at a loss for
words. The Deity he had worshipped and looked up to was standing before him
and had come for him with a request. He was given the task of slaying the
Dhampir that wandered the halls of the mansion.
With the blessing of his Deity and the faith that he held he pressed onwards
slaying everything in his path until he found the creature. The battle was
fierce, the creature was deadly, and it clawed at Glugg. His armor splashed
with his own blood and the creatures. The clash lasted for half a day.
Glugg's stamina was slowing fading not knowing whether he'll survive this
endeavor. As Glugg swung his blade, he started to commune to his deity to
cast wrath upon this evil. His prayer was answered and alas the creature
was slain and the rooms was cleansed by the prayer and the light from his
deity.
Glugg prays to Olyn to report that the deed was done. Olyn then blesses
Glugg on his endeavor to rid the area of darkness.
Glugg Breaks
Glugg wanders the empty halls of the castle, not seeing his fellow
knights about. Glugg wanders the realm not meeting comrade in arms. Glugg
continues on his journey alone, exploring without any companions. One
uneventful day, we wanders into seringale. Glugg is approached by a demon
that whispers him glory of becoming a hero that is loved by all. Glugg
doesn't know what to do and listens. The demon tells Glugg how the halls
have become empty and how he has become alone. Glugg's companions have left
him. The demon promises Glugg that he will always be there for Glugg a
constant companion. The demon would make Glugg realize his true potential
of becoming a hero. Glugg was torn and without any guidance decides to
follow the demon. The days passed, Olyn appears before Glugg. Olyn not
impressed with Gluggs actions smites the giant and curses him. Glugg
confused and befuddled does not know how to react. Glugg punished by Olyn
is exiled to the island and is forced to wear a fool's cap. Glugg alone on
the island is approached by the Legion, which extend their hand in aid of
Glugg. Confused and abandoned he grabs onto the hand that wish to aid him.
Glugg now wanders the land in search for the brothers that abandoned him in
order to enact revenge for betraying him.
Description:
A mountain of a giant stands before you. His shoulders are wide and
broad. His massive hands are able to grasp tree trunks with ease. His chest
and arms are littered with scars, a three pronged puncture wound stands out
on his right chest. It pulsates ever so slightly. His face is seemingly
square with a distinct jawline, he has a vertical scar that goes through the
bridge of his nose. He has really soft brown eyes that welcomes everyone
who comes near. His smile is wide and beams broadly across. His almost
translucent blue skin pales in comparison to other giants of his kind.
I really wanted to role-play him a little bit more but it was too much too handle. It was tough being outcasted but fun at the same time. I really wanted to be a knight but there wasn't anyone around lost my way Qurtoc whispered into my ears and I was easily persuaded. I was hoping the knights would seek me and try to convert me back but that didn't really play out too well. Since I didn't see them much.
Other than that it was really fun the gods smiting me and all.
Nice try glugg. But i think this type of RP was going to need some level of OOC interaction to pull it off. To let the knight executor/immortal know the direction you are going. To be frank, losing glugg the Knight made 0 impact to knights. You had 0 kills 18 deaths, no impact to either knights or legion. So there was no reason anyone is going to go out of their way just to convert u again unless u have spoken to the knights to join u in this RP.

I don't think it takes OOC interaction at all. The problems were just as you said though, neither the Knights nor the Legions would go out of their way to convert a poor performer. But not every character gets to be a badass and we need characters like this for the game to be fun.
I wanted to be in character the whole time while doing it. It would have been quite pointless if I went OOC. I just didn't realized how much of an uphill battle it was but regardless it was a fun experience. It just wasn't for someone who doesn't know the whole mechanics yet. As an RP perspective it was really something to see both sides and seeing how everyone would react. I think Ralith and Tendria were the only ones who asked me what had happened. Tendria had given me pointers on how I should be good still and not follow the darkness but there wasn't any other interactions after that so it got quite difficult.
I think this delete is far, far too premature. You switched sides...what...a week ago? That's hardly any time to let this whole thing play out. Kind of a waste of a good opportunity for some cool RP. Sad to see this happen.
IC, I was happy to see you gone when you left the Knights. Remember when we were going to train together, bought a scarecrow and training boosts and everything, and 5 minutes in Krite logs in?
I did my duty. Died 3 times and didn't regret a single one of them. You logged off. You even pointed out he was on, and *then* you logged off. I don't know if you noticed, but I changed from being friendly and amiable to Glugg to not talking to him at all anymore after this.
If you want the Knights to fight for you, the worst way to do it is to go full coward mode in front of their number one nemesis. Dorim, for one, was not sad to see you leave one bit.
This was an awesome opportunity and I am sad you missed out on the potential by the early delete. My time as the betrayer Gaelyn who became Forsaken was the best time I ever had. I can imagine it would be somewhat challenging to get used to the combat changes but man I wish I had the chance to do that again. Those opportunities don't come around every day, so good for you for getting it as far as you did, but next time don't waste it.
Other than that it was really fun the gods smiting me and all.
