From a young age Gocnuk was infatuated with death. As a boy, he would
burn caterpillars with a well-placed magnifying glass in the afternoon sun.
Or, just stepped on them so the guts popped out of one end. He would kick
dogs he came across on the street, skewer birds with sticks, and once even
pushed an unsuspecting boy off a cliff while hiking on the Mountain Trail.
As he got older his methods of killing grew more arcane as he learned to
commune the supplications of the dark shaman arts. In his early teens
Gocnuk learned to commune the Plague spell and immediately set to sickening
whole groups of villagers at once. On one occasion, his murderous ways
caught up to him. A group of men, whose wives Gocnuk had accosted then
murdered weeks before, caught up to him in Dankbark Forest one fateful
night. They held him down and skewered out his right eye with a rusty
spike, then pouring vinegar and salt into the wound left him to writhe in
agony. The event left him disfigured and filled with more malice than he
could have imagined. He promised to deliver death and dismemberment to any
and all who got in his way.
Description:
His figure is tall and lean like that of a man who runs long distances often and does not overindulge upon pastries nor ale. His clothes fit snuggly and are in proper order, not a thread out of place. He has a full head of hair, black as obsidian, styled with a part down the right side and a broad swathe waved across towards the left. His skin is clean, nails polished, and teeth white (a fact illustrated whenever he grins smugly, which is often). Really the only thing that seems out of place on this man is his eyes. The left one, which appears to do all of the seeing, exhibits a blue iris but with a cloudy white film. The right eye has been completely torn out and in its place sits the empty, black hole that the savage enucleation left behind. Why the man chooses not to cover up his occular abyss with an eyepatch is unsettling. What is more unsettling is the fact that the right eyelid......never..blinks.
