Introduction to the Law

Issith was but a young child, when all the bullies used to chase her around. They told her she should join them, and hang out with them. As young as she was, she always listened to what her mother said and always stayed away from bullies. So she would yet again refuse them and run and hide from them, for they would threaten her. One day as she was coming back from the market. Issith found the bullies all outside her home. She snuck in through the back, only to find her mother beaten. She cried and wept at her mothers side. Her mother told her to run and find someone to help them. She left reluctantly, she first found a priest to help cure her poor mother. She pleaded with the priest but to no avail for she had no money to meet his demands. As she left searching for another Temple, a man in the shadows approached her and told her that he heard her speaking with the priest. He said that he can rid her of the bullies if she wished, but it will come at a greater price than money. Issith listened but did not now what to do. So she ran to find another instead. She came upon a guard and told him of what happened. The guard calmed her down and told her it will be ok for he will take care of the ruffians. As he set out and rounded up the bullies, and took them away, she ran inside only to find her mother had died. Her throat was slit from her ear to ear. She cried and mourned. Looking up from her mothers corpse she ran back to the temple. The man in shadows was still around. She asked him, what is the price, he told her you have to be my new disciple. I will teach you all I know. You will obey me and does as you are told forever. Issith with nothing left agreed. He took her back to his house, where he fed and clothed her. The next day when she awoke he was gone. She heard from some of the locals that the bullies of the town where all killed in the prison. Having been left, by her mother and now the man in shadows she knew not what to do. A voice of power spoke to her, it told her to find shelter in a town, and to seek out his place of power the deity Lord Davairus. She would have to use whatever means she needed to, and do whatever it would take. So she set out to search for the man in shadows and the voice that bespoke to her. She had no where else to go and nothing else to lose now.
