The Nightflame family is an old family name, having at least fourteen
generations of known male descendants. The most recent dozen Nightflame
heirs have all been wizards who had at least middling talent with magic. It
has been traditional for the Nightflame heir to marry a redhead and have a
child to continue the blood line. Karea was the result of such a union.
She is of the seventh generation of magic users on her mother's side, in
addition to the thirteenth on her father's. She was discovered to have an
exceptional talent with pyromancy at a young age, which meant the invokers
guild was a natural choice.
The legacy of the Nightflame family, however, rests in Karea's hands. Her
father passed away before a male heir was born. The future of the legacy
remains to be seen...
The Grandmistress of Fire
Karea Nightflame set out into Serin to determine the fate of her legacy.
She gained the highest rank within her guild after some time, then spent a
lot of time pursuing harder and harder challenges. She was among a party
which defeated Order. She defeated Mashaldun alone twice. She was among
those who summoned Zaikkra, only to see him disappear at the top of Mount
Omedan before her party engaged him a second time. She fought the Chaos
Dragon three times before besting it. After a while, everything seemed to
succumb to her fiery magic.
She started to feel like she had mastered the art of pyromancy enough to
consider herself of the Grand Mastery level; in her case, a Grandmistress.
In order to become one with her chosen element, Karea Nightflame is choosing
to submit herself to Diocletian's will, as he is the God of Fire. Karea is
also choosing to look forward towards the future, and potentially help
newcomers to Serin find their way and learn how to be adventurers within
Serin. She may yet join the Mystics of Arcana to further these goals.
Description:
A radiant glow surrounds this gracile lady. Gazing upon her is almost
like gazing into a forge with reddened steel. The glow surrounds a lady of
medium height and low weight. Her limbs are thin, and her torso is not
especially thick. She barely has any fat on her frame, and in fact the only
part of her frame which does not look thin is her hips. Her hips jut out
more than the rest of her frame. She also has skin of a dark grey tone, and
lengthy hair which goes down to her waist behind her ears. The hair is as
rich and deep as burgundy, though it appears to be roughly cut. Finally,
her eyes are a shade of hazel brown, and they stare out at the world around
her.
I'm not sure how much to say in addition to the fact that this was one of my better characters. But, let me try and mention a few things.
First of all, I was running out of things to do. I summoned Zaikkra with the help of Conundo, Jyrdivar, and Cirem after obtaining the seven stones. I had thousands of relics by the time I deleted and no reason to spend them unless it was for minor upgrades. I actually killed the Chaos Dragon (and all the elder dragons prior to it) solo one day just to see if it was possible. Gold was never an issue, and it got to the point where I was able to afford Legion contracts on top of having a full bank.
Second, there was the (lack of) PKing aspect. I realized I was getting too aggressive after a warning or two from Ceridwel, and although I could have just left the Mystics the character was getting boring.
Finally, I did cut back my time on AR significantly in the last three months, and with all the other characters I have active, I decided I could afford to lose this one. I have done well with fire specialist invokers in the past (Morgolta comes to mind), and I know I would do just fine playing another invoker if I so chose.

I want to thank you again for not abusing the item bug you found. You could have fucken cleaned house with that thing but instead you sac’d it. Most well-deserved custom title ever.

Ah, so that's what that was about. Yeah, I was noticing some odd things for sure before the bug was fixed. The fact that the weapon I managed to procure was too heavy for me to wield (50 pounds for one hand) was why I sacrificed it honestly, though in retrospect I would not have kept it for very long even if I had been able to wield it.
This character was a good one. Fun to hate on. I'd give you reputable if you didn't already have it. I doubt you were too aggressive with only one kill, I bet you were invading cabals or helping people out while they were invading (bad juju for coteries)
I enjoyed our pseudo-competition of adding things to the Codex. I’m not sure if you were rp’ing yourself as grumpy or not but we never hung out as a couple of Mystics and I wondered if it was that Codex competition thing. I recall dying to a mob that I was trying to kill to iden his item and while I was sleeping up you logged on, finished off the mob and scored the iden. I was so pissed haha. Sorry to see you go.

Ok spill it, you have all the heads and the spike, are at the crazy draconian, then what.
You will be missed, I truly enjoyed your company.
BlackWidow 1 , 0 , 0 . you put the heads into the altar, then give the spike to the draconian, and the chaos dragon is summoned. Jyrdivar 0 , 0 , 0 . Thank you, now to sort that damn red dragon.
[reply to Jyrdivar]Also any tips on forging items with the heads, like if I was trying for the white bodyarmor.
