Kerinias lineage goes back to the glorious age of Greginsham, her great
grandmother was one of the many concubines who served the King. Before the
betrayal of Greginshams princess, the elves were invincible in their defense
against their foes. The orcs came and ravaged the city of Greingsham, there
are some elves that stayed and some who were forced to flee their own beloved
city. Her great grandmother was the Kings most beloved pet, ordered and forced
to flee with a few palace maids escorted by a few elite guardsmen. For years,
they traveled under the disguise of entertainers to escape the blades of their
enemies. Eventually they heard news of a new elven city rebuilt the Unlit
City and sought residence.
Centuries passed, the identity of this family was kept a secret among
themselves. The descendants of the guardsmen and palace maids had integrated
with the family. On the 89th generations, Kerinias was born. Since infancy,
she was noticed to be fairer than the other drows. A drow loses her fairness
as they aged, for Kerinias it wasn't the same. Her fairness reminded the
drows of their ill met fate and more often she is the subject of bully in
any child play. Her mother loves her nevertheless, shielding her from the
unkind words or treatment from others. Even she may be fairer than others,
her beauty among the drows is often the subject of comparison with Iltythir,
the drow Queen. Blessed with a beautiful vocal, she sings at the Tarantulas
Poison Inn every night. Her beauty in combination with her voice captured many
men. There are many suitors who seek her favor but there is only one man who
held her heart in captivity. Iltythir came to know and forced this man to be
one of her consorts out of jealousy for her beauty. She was also ordered by
the drow queen to be her personal entertainer and expected her presence
within their bedroom every night. Each night, she watched with agony and
horror to the drow queens malicious pleasurable acts on her lover. She is
driven to the edge of insanity, a dark voice whispers to her mind and ears.
He entices her to perform a deed in his name. Kerinias heed the advice of
this voice and killed her lover. She releases him from this torture of hell
in a swift painless death. That night, she fled south from Unlit City.
The dark voice guides her to a place. it is the shrine of Darkhan. The dark
visage of the Dark Lord pleased with her and bestowed dark clerical magic
hidden with her beautiful voice.
