There are many kinds of kisses in this world. There were the kisses
shared by husband and wife, as their daughter grew from a baby into a
toddler, and then into a girl. There were the tender kisses, given from
mother to daughter after lessons, and every night before bed. These kisses
were innocent and pure, the best type of kisses. And yet those kisses ended
two days before the girl's twelfth birthday, and there was only the salty,
wet goodbye kiss on the damp wooden coffin before the dirt covered it
forever. For nearly a year there were no kisses as the girl watched her
father succumb to the power of the bottle. Then, there were the foulest of
kisses, the kisses forced upon her by the ugly, filthy men who paid her
father for the chance to hear her scream and cry beneath them. For five
years these kisses were the girl's life, but under those smelly men the
girl's mind grew desperate and her heart hardened. Two days before the
girl's seventeenth birthday, the sounds of passion and release, sounds that
so often echoed in that small house, ceased forever. In the silent house,
an attentive listener could have barely heard the drip, drip, drip as the
girl's father poured his life's blood onto the dirt floor. No family, no
friend was present to mourn his death as the undertaker poured those first
few shovelfuls of dirt onto the coffin. He couldn't help but wonder whose
lips left a blood-red lipstick imprint on the wooden box.
Shit. Shit shit. Well that was me, I thought I'd logged in in June but I guess not. Vamp was a lot of fun and thanks to nyct for adding the 'bloodlet' emote so I could do more than just murder people. In the end, vamps are super strong against noobs and pretty weak against vets. I feel bad about killing noobs and usually gun for vets, so that's one of the reasons I let Lachras fade away
Deaths were fynth (3 rounded by bow before fix), rheloth (I think) and some level 47 dwarf berserker race-changed to 'treant' who killed me with final reserve (didnt see that coming) after I tried to kill him with fire. That was maddening
Honestly I was kind of hoping we would get to rp a bit more between Lachras and Tivris because I didn't see their "friendship" lasting long. Would have been a good time going back and forth with similar characters since we never really had that real head to head situation on any characters.
Furthermore that pk penalty is real! Would have been 54 and 3. Got me beat too. Also I agree about the assessment of the strengths and abilities of vampires vs noob/vet.
