Amongst the travellers who live and work for the Circus, love bloomed in the sultry, undignified fashion that only exists between transients. Long nights of ale, and laughing, and pawing found their way into the lives of two circus workers and eventually led to the daughter of the ringmaster, Ursula being impregnated by the shill for the three card monty booth. <br><br>At first, love was new and all that was needed to sustain them through their vagabond existence. Sharing broken cups of mead between each other and their blue-collar friends, however, eventually led to the use of stronger and stronger potions. Mead turned to Absinthe to drinking bottles of stolen liquors in the mornings. The parents grew distant, then adversarial, until they finally could no longer work or live together under the big top. The father left, as so often happens, and left the mewling Laconis for her mother to raise. This arrangement lasted another two years, until a wealthy drow with a penchant for bloodsport came to see the circus festivities and found Ursula nursing her infant daughter. "10 pieces of gold for that daughter. I want to train her to become a prostitute for visiting dignitaries." He boomed with his cane and smile, complete with 4 silver teeth. He never expected this bargain to be accepted, and it was his cruel joke that pointed out the cheap nature of life amongst the poor. <br><br>Ursula gave her daughter to the man, who systematically, over the next 15 years degraded and broke her spirit. Made his money a hundred times over from visiting travellers and royalty, addicted her to toxic drugs, and abandoned her one night in Seringale on her 17th birthday.
