Born to a pair of half-elf scholars with weak constitution, Lifa was
every bit as frail as her parents were. As a child who was always ill, she
never got to go outside which meant that she never played nor had fun with
the other kids in the city. Lifa spent much of her time snuggly tucked in
bed, reading about the world outside that she would only get a glimpse of
from her window.
The meeting that would change her life and her fate happened when she was
five and almost expired from an illness that even the healers could do
nothing about. As if fate had arranged the meeting, a lone vagabond crossed
paths with Lifa as her parents carried her almost lifeless body to the next
healer they could find. Seeing their distress, the man dressed in tattered
rags stopped them and said that he might be able to help her.
At that point they would even be willing to sell their souls to Zafrin just
to save their precious little girl, much less wager on the healing prowess
of a street beggar.
Without even having to lay her down, the rugged and muscular man channeled a
mysterious white ball of energy onto his palm while the excess energy that
was flowing out of his body flung around his rags to reveal a body canvassed
with animals locked in a huge battle.
Terrified by what he was seeing, Lifa's father began to fear he might have
made the wrong bet. Before he could pull away, the dubious stranger had
thrust the energy ball into Lifa's pale body causing her to scream out in
pain.
"Nooooo! My baby! What have you done!" , Tears flew out of the father's
eyes as he believed he had delivered his daughter to the reaper himself.
As her parents despaired and weeped, Lifa's pale complexion changed to a
healthy brown color which they had never seen before. Her lips turned from
a deathly purple to a lively pink and before long, she came back to life.
The bald man calmly said, "She has been cured but only temporarily. If she
is to live a long life, she must dedicate her it to keeping her body
strong." As he gave them a bow and turned to leave without asking for
anything in return.
"Wait!" Exclaimed the little girl as she lept off from her father's embrace
- a feat that left both her parents stumped.
A month later, the master monk came to Lifa's house to fulfil his promise -
that he would take her as his disciple on his travels and teach her
everything she needs to live a long healthy life.
Description (commended):
An aura of silence and stillness surrounds this petite woman. Her black
and shiny hair is so long that it almost touches the ground and are simply
bound together near the ends with a thin rope tied into a ribbon. A long
fringe covers the left side of her face, leaving only her right eye visible.
Whatever catches her attention, she watches it intently and contemplates
silently as if the meaning of life might be found within that which her blue
eyes cast their gaze upon. The pink colored gloss on her thin lips stand
out from her slightly tanned skin.
With barely any cloth covering her body, the amount of hard work she has put
into training and perfecting it can be seen. The muscles on her lean arms
and legs are well defined and on her bared midriff you can see abs that are
perfect for washing clothes. She somehow manages to look extremely feminine
despite her muscular frame. A plethora of tattoos cover most of her body
from her neck down to her limbs as if her body were a canvas. These tattoos
are mainly made up of various animals and they are painted to look like they
are locked in an eternal stalemate with one another. The one that is most
striking is on her back - a flaming red phoenix has its claws firmly
gripping a serpentine green dragon that is coiled tightly around its body
while the two legendary creatures eyes are locked onto each other.
While she is silent and unmoving, the tips of her elvish ears peeking out of
her hair are constantly twitching and listening for disturbances.
