Up in one of the frozen peaks in the Plains of the North, a nest with
three eggs hatched. As the little hatchlings open up their tiny little eyes
to see the wonderful world, the first person to greet them is the most
lovely winged lady of all. The little avians started calling for food as
their eyes were locked on to the fresh rabbits in their mother's hands.
Lyra grew up over the next few years with her brother, sister, father and
mother. There were also others in their flock with their nests all around
them. Everyone lived happily together until one day, a strange disease
spread around the whole flock. One by one, they grew weak, then started to
lose their feathers and eventually their breaths. Some fell from the air
and were never seen again, some perished in their nests.
The little avian returned home after an extended hunting trip only to find
her whole family in their nest, blackened and turning to liquid, yet still
embracing each other. Devastated by the sight that greeted her, Lyra left
her home for the last time. This time, she would go on a never ending
hunting trip.
Eventually, she managed to let go of the deaths of her family, choosing to
embrace her newfound freedom. After hearing of the ability of the
illusionists to create duplicates and illusions, Lyra decided to walk (or in
her case, fly) this path. For this way, she would have companions and
guardians who may disappear for a time but they would never truly perish.
Description:
The place becomes crowded all of a sudden. Amidst the busy looking and
awfully noisy passersby, stands a winged young lady. Strangely calm and
serene, she sticks out from the rushing crowd like a sore thumb.
Straight and silky auburn hair runs down to her slim waist. Her demeanour
is calm and feminine. She wears a bewitching grin of a teenage girl who is
plotting her next prank. Four pairs of large pure white wings are attached
to her back. White fluffy feathers fall from seemingly nowhere all around
her. The sight seems almost believable until the crowd disappears as
abruptly as it appeared out of nowhere. The feathers too, fades away
leaving only the girl still standing there alone.
