A choice

She was trained to be an assassin. That was all she knew from a young age. Fight, get stronger, get smarter, be quieter, don't be seen. Don't leave a trace. It wore on, all she knew, all she could learn. She worked her way up. Never knowing what it might be like to be more than what she was. Being trained to be a soldier for hire. She couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it. Something she was missing, that was when it happened. Then it happened, the King was murdered, and off they had to go, hunt down the murderer. She knew this would be her chance.

A path

She was enjoying this realm. It seemed that it was the same she knew, but different. As if there was a lapse of time that passed in the blink of an eye. She knew her training, but it seemed her journey had drained her of it. She knew she would have to train her body, again to regain her prowess, and so she set for to do so. At first alone, then slowly trusting others to join her in her endeavors. She was at a crossroads, on what to do with her life. She could go and fight for an organization that sought to further their own schemes. She could become a hired agent, killing for money as well as possessions. But she chose a different path. One that she didn't think she would take. As she started hesitantly down her own path.

A love to hide

She didn't know when it happened, but it seemed that someone managed to sweep her off of her feet. A bard, who was always played a fool despite being so much more than that. She at first teased him, at she found joy in it. But it seemed that he too enjoyed the attention as she began to give him more and more. She didn't know when it hit her, but at some point she realized that she had started to develop feelings for the other. She could hardly believe it herself, but she knew that some may try to use this to their advantage. She decided not to declare her love for him. Keep it hidden, like the most precious of secrets. Only there would it and he be safe.
