The Nameless Order
His earliest memories are of the hive. The hive was everything, the collective striving to assimilate. Alone they were weak, but together unstoppable. One day that was all to change. They had collared a barbarian tribe, for they were weak willed and helpless before them. They made great slaves and even better food. Until one day, one was born who wasnt. His mind was beautiful, coming up with concepts that were new to the hive. With that thought, they educated him. They wanted to see what he could become, and so this barbarian was taught to speak, to write, to think for himself. It was their undoing, for with those ideas, and that knowledge the barbarian learned their darkest secret. Unknown who it was who shared it, but when it was over the hive was broken. Assimilation was no longer possible and so they drifted. Some became Alhoons, or even Liches, while others became something else. His story was one of bloodshed, for the order he was apart of sought structure, and the only way for that was through death. This the Nameless Order was born

Description:

The mucus normally covering his face has been carefully wiped away. Still the membrane before his tentacled maw is shiny as if new mucus is growing. His tentacles twist and writhe in agitation, deep set eyes peering around almost paranoid. While tall, his frame is extremely narrow, almost emaciated in appearance. Tentacles writhe in every direction from the end of his arms, clawed and hooked in nature. Finally, instead of feet, he seems to stand a few inches above the ground on a large tentacled membrane.

  1. Mine, interesting that I only have one kill recorded though, considering I murdered a couple of people. Vampire kill sucked, was a lowbie ranking with the vampire before deciding to go justice when he turned on me midgroup to take a piece of rare gear I had picked up. Best part was, I would have simply given it away and helped him rank considering it was not mage gear...

    1. You give me one fight and you're done just like that!?
      Give me a sandwich!

      1. One kill as a squid with this lifespan? And 1 pk death? You're doing it wrong...

        Should have flurried
        1. Haha, was waiting for this. Quardaz didn't have the lifespan Oxil did and was largely inactive for the whole of it. I had more than 1 kill, still not sure what happened. I murdered two or three people the week I got inducted, not sure why they didn't count.
        2. Glad you saw the humor in this comment that was intended :)

Illithid Justices are awesome! Grayden, I hope you are paying attention.

I hear you but I am still enjoying my unnoticed protest of social disobedience. This is my favorite class but sounds like Merlandox is up for the challenge.

      3. Lag skill changed hard nerfed squil illu. Cone is worthless now.

          wut?

      4. Used to be you could cone someone when their aura dropped and it would keep them from fleeing for two rounds of combat. Now they can flee instantly, it's almost like zero lag. They can certainly flee sooner than I can move, and used to be it would lock us in combat for the same amount of time minimum. In fact it's how I died my one death on my last squid which had a much better record, largely because of cone.

Ah yes... The cone barely fazed me and you died. Granted, you also tried to use it in front of an entire fucking necromancer's army, constable, pet, and Tir... That might not have been the best tactical decision.

Don't treat cone (or illithid) like a joke anymore. That was a hard, unnecessary nerf. The special kid leg braces are off.
        4. This makes me sad and happy at the same time. I chose illithid specifically because of cone. I intended to play him that way, and with it nerfed did not have the fun I expected to have. Felt like I traded a vuln for a skill and didn't get it and that certainly contributed to my lack of interest in the character. Thanks for fixing it, will certainly lead to me rolling another in the future.

Cone was my low level area attack until prismatic spray comes along, then you don't need cone.

If you are improving that forceful cone, how about the chance to knock people unconscious, so I can leech spells and drop brain consuming parasites, dang I do miss the illithid.

Did you get a chance to leech with Quardaz?
        1. Holy crap, I had no idea leech existed! Just looked it up, it wasn't a thing with my last.

Wow, Nadrin, when was your last? Leech has been a thing, I gotta say at least a decade.
        3. Not ten years ago that's for sure. Maybe I knew about it back then and just forgot? I can honestly say I have never used it or tried to use it. Would have been badass to try and use, but oh well.
        4. Don't try leeching your allies. It will cause them to attack you. And I say this from personal experience.
        5. Why would I cast an aggressive spell on my allies?
        6. I wasn't under the impression that it was an aggressive innate ability... I once overheard this story of a psionicist and an illusionist leeching gate and pyramid of force off of each other as a deliberate act.

I managed to leech sanctuary once. Normally, though, I just got like create food or some shit.

      6. This was my last. Always terribly interesting to go back and look at a characters record and see that it has somehow changed over the years. I amassed a bunch of penalties with the last one, and his body count was way higher than it shows now. Interesting that his description didn't transfer over from the old graveyard to the new?
