Rakse was raised the youngest daughter of a moderately wealthy family of
Drow in the merchant district of the Unlit City. She began the study of
magic at an early age, dissatisfied with the prospects of life as a
merchant and unwilling to devote herself to divine pursuits. She left home
and began earnestly training as a mage as soon as she was able, finding
herself most apt at elemental magics and offensive arcane arts. She
enrolled herself in the guild of invokers in Seringale and began renting a
room in a nearby building.
Disdainful of rote memorization and study without practical application, she
began sneaking out of the city after nightfall to raid and plunder the
settlements around Seringale. She terrorized the villiage of goblins,
tormented the ogres of Drkshyre, and set fire to the Southern farmlands, all
under the cover of night. She sold her spoils to various vendors in the
Eastern cities of Thera and began collecting jewelry and trinkets, of which
she is extremely fond. She eventually purchased the title to a minor
Earldom to the east of Darkhaven and became properly titled a Countess.
Seeking more power than can be provided from her craft alone, she found
Davairus to be the patron deity most fit to her personality, and began
following the tenets of his religion to see if he would favor her.
Description:
A short, slender, gentle looking young woman. She is noticably short, standing at a height of four feet, ten inches. Her skin is a dark grey-brown and looks incredibly soft to the touch. A small tattoo of a feather in black ink can barely be seen near her left ear, the only blemish on her hide. Her hair is a long silver cascade extending well beyond her shoulders that shines slightly when light strikes it just-so. Her bright, green eyes hide behind long, dark eyelashes - an unusual feature seldomly seen in the face of a Drow.
