The smell of brimstone assails your nostrils. The behemoth of a man
standing before you is at least the height of four humans. His large, round
head is shaved bald and his face is flat with a broad nose that appears to
have been broken several times. His arms and legs appear to be as thick as
tree trunks and are covered in a mixture of blackened serrated platemail and
chainmail. A thick hauberk of pure black protects his massive chest and you
can see an assortment of weapons of cruel designs on his person. This
massive beast can be nothing other than a fire giant. Not just any fire
giant. Raised above his back from a pole you see the Doom-Weaver of Legion.
I love you Kalist. In a hetero-sexual way. Great char, around a long time and brought the fear into people. Hope this doesn't mean you're gone for good. Later man.

You had more people pissing their pants from start to finish than many characters have done in a long time. Your reputation in-game was legendary, and watching people quit out as soon as you logged on was always amusing.
Hopefully (as was already said) you're not leaving for good, and this was only done in order to qualify for the "Top PKer of '06" rankings. If it is, I'm feeling pretty confident that you're going in as #1... if not a close #2.

Ah.. Rigwarl deleting is a downer, but look on the bright side. Instead of people making Knight wannabe to kill Rigwarl, they'll notice Nairrok is now the active "Badass" and make characters to kill him with instead. What on earth can you defeat a boar ranger with? Its a fun question.
That is assuming Naiirok doesn't delete to try to get into the 2006 top 10 of course. Don't laugh.. it could happen...
Rigwarl was a fun character. Those of you familiar with the "Forgotten Realms" books, I tried to RP him kind of like Bane. Rigwarl saw everyone as inferior to him and even had the gall to dish out orders that went against the pact of darkness. To those in Legion, he was brutal but fair. If you did not show respect or obedience to him, or if you were only a minion and offered a suggestion, he would repremand you and put you in your place quickly (just ask Bindar). While he saw everyone as inferior and continued to dictate Legion policy and treat members harshly, I was secretly hoping someone would try to overthrow him (I would have loved to see Cythlan attempt a coup and get slaughtered in the rift).
The 'War against Thera' was intended to stir up a lot of interest in the playerbase. It never quite reached the level I imagined it would - I had thought that it would whip the playerbase into a frenzy (everyone without a cabaled character would roll a char and pick a side). I also thought that the Immortals might get involved somehow (i.e. Vhrael and Groq joining up to rally mortals against the Legion while Burzuk secretly aided Legion from the sidelines). Unfortunately it didn't seem to generate as much interest as anticipated (partially my fault for my lack of presence in the realms due to papers/final exams/moving into a new apartment/etc).
He was a fun character and I have greatly enjoyed the many interactions he has had with you all, whether it was taking a break from killing to have a drink with Melenn, or dishing out orders to a group of Legion ready to invade Knights. I would like to think that he would be remembered as a ruthless leader of Legion who felt he was unchallenged in his dominance of Thera.
While it is convenient that the 'Year Top 10' list is coming right away, the reason I deleted him is that I don't have time to play AR. I need to study for the LSAT and get good grades (last semester of my BA degree). AR is a great game and I hope you all pursue it eagerly. I might return in the summer once school is done and work begins.

From the Jraek point of view he had good RP inside the cabal, but didn't extend well to the outside because everyone was scared shitless of him (RP in itself) except for like Worvaz. I actually wanted to see if Mort would try the coup as he was the only one nearly able to do it in the Legion fam.

And I give a special thanks to Dav on the whole shitting on Naiirok, but threadjack aside Rig qualifies as one of those Legion legends (who should have went IMM, but I suppose his legend lives longer by dying). I was wondering if you were going to delete for top PKer of 06 and seems you did. Awesome job and good luck.

I liked Rigwarl. On 3 different characters in various perspectives at 50. Revaqin on knight vs legion, Zeahne on Legion Justice war, and another unknown (which will remain nameless until delete). The interactions I had with Rigwarl include almost all aspects of AR - pking against, mild rping with, and hunting together (pvp & pvm). I must say he was played very well and was very much in character. I think Ronus wouldn't regret any moment of making you mortal leader.
Props to Kalist for all surviving and going against odds when Knights were still very strong (Prastin all the way to that generation of knights' deletion).
Also for going against Phostan, after the event where Davairus kind of "banned" you both doing anything together at all, ending up with fighting Devorast and Sousuke most of the time. Wonder what is going to atone for those 30+ character you both lost in that mass deny spree ^^;

Well played, he was definately feared when he was in the realms. Character wise I loved fighting you because it was always a good challenge (even beat you a couple of times!). Anyways good luck with the next.

Maybe the first character since like Deiminos (I was super new then I might not know what the hell I'm talking about) to hit that level of notoriety, control, etc. for a mortal. I don't get scurred by others but all these 'omg Rigwarl came so I quit out, omg Rigwarl don't kill me' type posts and so on kind of speak to the level of fear a lot of people had I guess. I think the leadership was good. You seemed to hold down the forsaken or whatever it is and keep everything running pretty good for a long time. Thats a nice accomplishment beyond just a good pk record.
I can't say much for your pk, concidering we never really fought, but hey, everyone I ever talked to hated you and was afraid of you, so that has to say something.
But I can say that I'm going to miss him. Great times.
I've been around this game for somehwere around twelve or thirteen years and my memory generally sucks but this is one of the few characters I remember. Definetly an outstanding character.
