Serico was a troublesome child. He would not share with his brothers and often started fights with them over trivial matters. His parents grew increasingly worried about their rowdy son and consulted a local healer who liked to dabble in psychology on the side. The healer studied Serico's behavior for a time and recommended a course of action: send him to live with the healers of Sarich. With heavy hearts, Serico's parents sent him away so that he might learn and grow from the example of the healers. These healers took in anyone who came to their doors. Rich or poor, saint or rogue. All were tended with the same love and care by the devout followers of Sarich. Unfortunately, Serico had no talent for the healing arts so he was relegated to preparing salves and cleaning bandages. It was through these menial tasks that he was able to chat with some of the patients. One elf kept returning to the temple time after time. It seemed like each time he returned he was one step closer to the reaper. He would tell Serico of his battles and how each of his many scars had a story. This elven warrior did not understand why the healers were indiscriminant in their patients. He himself garnered most of his scars from evil creatures. One day, while Serico was changing this elf's bandages, a duergar, also a patient of the temple, snuck up behind him and put him in a choke hold. Serico struggled but could not free himself. As he was about to black out, he felt a sharp pain in his left side and then the rush of oxygen back into his system. He spied his elf warrior plunge a sword into the chest of the duergar. "Sorry about the scratch, kid," the elf said. "The first of many."
Description:
Serico's round blue eyes radiate with kindness and understanding. Dove-white hair tumbles down to his wais, uncut from birth in homage to Sarich. Strong sinews sit ready to spring into action and Serico stands with a deft swordsman's balance. His voice is a warm, inviting baritone with an undercurrent of steel. A large scar runs down his left side.
wow, if I ever delete a character over rank 36, because of one missed skill, I think I will /wrists. I know levelling is not that hard, but seriously? You were training pretty hard, and didn't you even make squire?
Yeah. Got squired. I think elf warrior would be a little more difficult today than back when Pip had Atyrdolm now that dirt has that derpy blurry eyes thing which really doesn't do anything (it should totally have a misdirection affect; misdirect from the time it's rubbed out to the time eyes clear).
I really can't do more than one character at a time so this one went.
I deleted the vast majority of my characters after 1 death. I have deleted vamps and caballed guys after the first death. For awhile there was even a hardcore mode where you would get max stats at level 1 but get deleted on your first death.
Last I checked the help hardcore file was still there...Secondly you get 60 deaths and possibly more with surge. I am not sure why one death would set you off so hard to delete.
correct me if I am wrong, but what is the difference between not seeing anything and seeing the same room desc with blurry eyes. You don't know your exits in either facet, really the only difference would be to quaff a recall or am I wrong?
[quote:2539413fd8="Blashyrkh"]And I thought if you fled blurry eyed you still stumble.[/quote:2539413fd8]
Yeah. But you can change combat styles and wield disarmed weapons which was the biggest benefit. And you are immune to another dirt until your eyes clear up.
[quote:831f9fac9f="Smotpoker"]yeah the whole dirt kick blurry eye thing really fucked over the classes that needed it (thieves, ninjas and bards mostly)[/quote:831f9fac9f]
Ninjas have blind dust, what are you talking about?
Thieves.. ok .
