So this delete is due to Nycoteria uninducting Tamra and slaying my character. Why did he uninduct and slay my character?
Simple Shiao was my legion, I felt really bad after Sheng died and I full looted and sac'd all his items. Because I knew if I did it, he probably would stop playing and he was super active which is what happened. My lack of skill with ninjas was apparent and I didn't feel I could represent legion as powerful force with 2 afk kills and a mob kill to my name. So Nyc said his shit on my graveyard and I responded the same way and said I would never join that cabal again.
I made a knight applicant monk gave up on that and i made Tamra. I always liked quasit illusionists ever since Sevuash kicked my ass over multiple characters. I autoinducted to legion because I was curious how odious whisper would help with dreamstruck.
So I last night I log in, Nyc uninducts me after 50 hours of play without a reason. Pray why am I being uninducted and he slays me and says I wouldn't want to make you a liar. Basically because of what I said with what happened on Shiao.
So an immortal checks who I play, brings an ooc interaction in game to affect my current character. So yes I am done. A few new players are here so good luck to you guys.

I wouldn’t say Ozaru’s freedom of speech rights haven’t been violated. His post hasn’t been removed. Allowing us to argue who’s right or wrong. Regardless I’m pretty sure the AR community never had a free speech right. OOC actions should definitely have a consequence in game. Otherwise players wouldn’t be voted into the HoE and play vamps or able to auto-induct.

everyone here has a free speech right. Freedom of speech is a cornerstone of our society in the country this MUD is hosted in, and must not be infringed. It's important to point out that this character was uninducted because of past disgraceful performance on caballed characters - specifically OOC behavior - and the player's promise not to reinduct into Legion which was not upheld. No punishments have been given for badmouthing immortals on the graveyard or logboard.

The myth weaver is over rated. Had a Herald once with the soul intention of making Herald a propaganda wing of Legion. Kept selling out other Heralds EQ to the forsaken, having them killed, etc. and...well Vanisse found out and removed some of my skills without telling me. It was fun figuring that out while fighting. I haven't heard anything about Vanisse being 100% done. Vanisse was an active Imm for way longer than most, and she eventually stepped back as all older Immortals (and players) eventually do. That doesn't mean she stopped caring about this place or has forgotten about it. Not at all.
- I did write a note to the immortals about Vya breaking the law AGAIN. He used blindness dust in town to apprehend Diani. Olyn wrote back saying basically i am a pathetic legion why would I report that and Justices can do what ever is needed to apprehend someone. Sooooo yeah.... And the response from Olyn sounds like a legit ic response. Legion has no weight in Justice politics, especially second hand. Even if he did do something about it internally, the Legion who reported it would probably still get the same response and never hear anything else.

You know, I haven't had the time to invest as much as I normally like to into this game. (full-time student/full-time manager) Anyway, I wasn't going to touch this when I began reading this because this stupid. The more I thought about it the more I decided to weigh in after all, so I am going to touch on several points here.
First off. As Legion immortal the statement that he can do whatever the fuck he wants is 100% true. If Dav or Olyn decide they don't like what he is doing, they will either tell him or he won't be the Legion imm anymore. Can Nycticora be an asshole? Sure so can each and every one of us if we really want to, he just chooses to filter less than some of us.
A player repeatedly has issues with Legion, says he will not do it again and immediately does it again. If I was the imm I would have booted him too. Of course I wouldn't of responded to any tells about it though. This game is a community, and if there are several people (I am talking to you Ozaru) who are always like "I am done, I am not putting up with this again, its all a circle jerk" Man whatever, see you in a few months.
Next/People have been banned from cabals before. Hey, you can't play in this Cabal because you keep fucking off and giving me a headache. Hell, there was a time long ago where it almost happened to me. Of course, I grew up and moved on. Ozaru I am certain that if took a few more characters waited a decent amount of time and didn't fuck off and piss all the imms off while playing/whining about things you don't understand you would get your chance to play again but to join back up this soon after that last blowup? Come on...
Lastly, the justice complaint. If Vya was hunting a known criminal (Wanted) she can use whatever means necessary. Justice can break the law to apprehend a wanted criminal, its in the help files for all to see.

The idea of reputable was something i came up with when I ran out of ideas on how to get Ozaru and Beia to stop cheating. The idea was that if there was some kind of status they had to put effort into attaining, they'd be hesitant to lose it and would actually care about punishment. That's why it's a status that affects your account instead of your characters.
So, the original idea was that we'd give it to jokers on a preliminary basis and then take it away when they fucked up, and it would be something other players could use to beat them over the head with if they got in metagame arguments. That'd make them upset and give them a second reason to want to get it back. Carrot and stick.

With a smaller pbase and an evergrowing "veteran" or at least experienced playerbase. Many players just expect to get in a cabal when they have one in mind from character creation. I mean sure, alot of people have a reputable status and can gain via auto-induction but often it just seems like they should be given entrance automatically, just because they think they meet the basic requirements of a cabal and they sent an application.
Cabal entrance is and always will be a PRIVILEGE. You have to have exceptional roleplay, and for many cabals, at least some above average player killing ability. Especially if you want to rise in the ranks of the cabal once you gain entrance. That is also another thing, many players just think oh if I just stay active long enough I'll be made elder or leader. That is not always the case. Sometimes your character just isn't good enough buddy, sorry. Just because you mastered H2H, defenses and axe and went nomagic doesn't mean you always get to be Blademaster.
People often forget that, and just reroll after trying a character (which is totally fine), but don't expect you're always going to be given the privilege of being allowed into the cabal, as well as rising in the ranks of one simple for hours logged.
I might have handled this situation differently from Nyct, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. If you're constantly rerolling shit characters and autoinducting yourself in cabals, your reputable status should be removed. You obviously have shown you cannot conduct yourself in a trustworthy and respectable manners to others in our community and shouldn't be given additional perks such as auto-induction.

Reminds me of another strategy. Become a leader in a cabal, then roll another char in the enemy cabal and be as shitty as possible. Intentionally dying, saying and doing stupid shit where everyone will look at your main’s cabal and be like “Damn, that guy’s a good leader. Compared to what’s going on in this other cabal. And look at those stats!!”
I'd like to add one more point - a few days ago Ozaru you were abusing the Newbie channel, spewing garbage and making it so that any true Newbie reading it all would have logged off an never come back. That behavior is not in line with what Reputable status is all about, and if you had been a member of my cabal when you were doing it I would have uninducted you on the spot for it. Cabals are for exceptional roleplay and high levels of standards.

It's important to point out that this character was uninducted because of past disgraceful performance on caballed characters - specifically OOC behavior - and the player's promise not to reinduct into Legion which was not upheld. - I did write a note to the immortals about Vya breaking the law AGAIN. He used blindness dust in town to apprehend Diani. Olyn wrote back saying basically i am a pathetic legion why would I report that and Justices can do what ever is needed to apprehend someone. Sooooo yeah.... I tried to go through the proper channels and basically Vya can do what ever he wants. My note wasn't OOC I was actually in game when this took place, I did see it on the stream.

First off. As Legion immortal the statement that he can do whatever the fuck he wants is 100% true. If Dav or Olyn decide they don't like what he is doing, they will either tell him or he won't be the Legion imm anymore. Can Nycticora be an asshole? Sure so can each and every one of us if we really want to, he just chooses to filter less than some of us.
A player repeatedly has issues with Legion, says he will not do it again and immediately does it again. If I was the imm I would have booted him too. Of course I wouldn't of responded to any tells about it though. This game is a community, and if there are several people (I am talking to you Ozaru) who are always like "I am done, I am not putting up with this again, its all a circle jerk" Man whatever, see you in a few months.
Next/People have been banned from cabals before. Hey, you can't play in this Cabal because you keep fucking off and giving me a headache. Hell, there was a time long ago where it almost happened to me. Of course, I grew up and moved on. Ozaru I am certain that if took a few more characters waited a decent amount of time and didn't fuck off and piss all the imms off while playing/whining about things you don't understand you would get your chance to play again but to join back up this soon after that last blowup? Come on...
Lastly, the justice complaint. If Vya was hunting a known criminal (Wanted) she can use whatever means necessary. Justice can break the law to apprehend a wanted criminal, its in the help files for all to see.

Again as I have stated in numerous posts about this game being unfair and how the immortals have always just stressed I am crazy, thank you Ceridwel for finally admitting you did have a grudge against me. The idea of reputable was something i came up with when I ran out of ideas on how to get Ozaru and Beia to stop cheating. The idea was that if there was some kind of status they had to put effort into attaining, they'd be hesitant to lose it and would actually care about punishment. That's why it's a status that affects your account instead of your characters.
So, the original idea was that we'd give it to jokers on a preliminary basis and then take it away when they fucked up, and it would be something other players could use to beat them over the head with if they got in metagame arguments. That'd make them upset and give them a second reason to want to get it back. Carrot and stick.

[reply to Nycticora]Cabal entrance is and always will be a PRIVILEGE. You have to have exceptional roleplay, and for many cabals, at least some above average player killing ability. Especially if you want to rise in the ranks of the cabal once you gain entrance. That is also another thing, many players just think oh if I just stay active long enough I'll be made elder or leader. That is not always the case. Sometimes your character just isn't good enough buddy, sorry. Just because you mastered H2H, defenses and axe and went nomagic doesn't mean you always get to be Blademaster.
People often forget that, and just reroll after trying a character (which is totally fine), but don't expect you're always going to be given the privilege of being allowed into the cabal, as well as rising in the ranks of one simple for hours logged.
I might have handled this situation differently from Nyct, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. If you're constantly rerolling shit characters and autoinducting yourself in cabals, your reputable status should be removed. You obviously have shown you cannot conduct yourself in a trustworthy and respectable manners to others in our community and shouldn't be given additional perks such as auto-induction.
