Title: the Harbinger of Death
Gender: Male
Level: 46
Class: human dark-knight

Background history:

Description:

He's charming in a way. Sporting an alluring wry smile and stylish wavy black hair, he walks with a light bounce. He hides the many pockmarks filling his cheeks. His voice is pleasant but there is a sickly sweet smell to his breath, as if he used a large amount of perfume to mask the smell of rotting teeth. Two dainty hands with well-manicured nails seem overly long and thin compared with the rest of the rather short and somewhat overweight figure.

You're looking at a class that was basically, start with a warrior, strip off ..nothing useful, and then add the most dangerous invoker, necro and shaman spells (they literally had sleep blind curse plague), and a charmie on top just incase illusionist feels like it might be able to do more damage. And then add in some "unique" stuff like silence and cursed weapons, and detect invis and flying scrolls. Its lots llike when we stupidly made demons, we should've just made DK's which were demon-raced and saved all that effort. Its sad too because now its hard to balance the class and put it where it should be, people will always remember that unkillable death machine they were.

Since then, there were a bunch of nerfs that culminated in the loss of dodge and dirt, they've kind of gotten steadily nerfed by inattention but they spent a LONG time on top, and they have received maintenance to help them bear the brunt of the problems that's caused. I don't think they're too bad. I've seen way more jotun dk's than jotun paladins, that is obviously because they still have a ton of offense including a warrior's BASH skill (did I mention they were a warrior start?). I played a DK myself post combat modules and I felt satisfied with my experience although I did reroll once due to not liking my race's stats.

      Just wait for the rework.

I didn't play this enough / even reach pinnacle to have a well-formed opinion. So I don't really have any critiques on the class.
