Mira was only 16 years old when she noticed something strange happening
with her body. She did not want to explain it to her mother because she
feared she would think very low of her. She had never had any male
companions and did not know how she could become pregnant. She would visit
the local doctor as much as she could, but she did not have any real plans
to have a baby. It happened one stormy day, while Mira was walking to
school, she felt a sharp pain in her chest, then in her stomach. She knew
she was about to give birth. She made her way into a dark ally, and there
gave birth to a premature baby boy. Out of panic, she placed the baby near
a pile of rubble, cleaned herself as best she could and continued on to
school. The cries echo in her head as she attempts to subdue the pain and
concentrate on school. The little baby screaming in agony plagues her mind.
As soon as school was over Mira hurried back to the spot she had abandoned
her baby, and to her suprise the baby was no where in sight.
Description:
Dark black hair flow down to the center of this gangly looking human's back. His face is burnt and covered in scars. He is a terriable sight to look at. His body is rail thin, and his skin is ghastly white. He has pitch black eyes that look like a swirling vortex, something you would see in the sky. A strange aura radiates off this foul smelling man. He has a strange red tattoo in the center of his forehead.
to be fair, these guys put in a ton of hours early on and really didn't get a chance to fight different people. Always fighting justices is a hard go because generally they are more experienced players and they keep their chars a while so they have more things mastered. And the 11 ill deaths are probably really tiresome too. I have been on the wrong end of a player/cabal needing a nerf and it generally comes after I delete. It sucks to feel like a guinea pig for race/class combo updates but they always say you have more deaths to stick it out.
Yeah but 60 hours are put into training. Normally I keep a char longer with the more success I have. I am sure if they had more success they would have kept playing. I don't really think illusionists are over powered as long as the damage of the ills is on par with rend + zombie damage. If dup damage is more then that its too much to deal with. At least you can cure blind, but misdirection and terrain are pretty much a death sentence. And by a ton of hours I meant they were very active in that short time frame with no one new to fight. Knights are stale, justice is stale except for the ill, but he seems to die a lot too. Keepers are stale with only 1 new member. We are just in a lull without fresh blood to exploit and there isn't 1 person dominating to make things exciting. But I do agree you two should have kept at it, I think legion is begging for someone to take over for gaelyn. He has been forsaken for way too long. Id try but I don't have a human ranger in legions...
Nah, if you are quick misdirect and terrain are avoidable. Its just how quickly you can adapt to the changes in direction. Its not like your blind, you just don't KNOW you are safe. If you have good escape routes you can escape.
you have said this before but I just don't believe you when someone hits you with both adn you are eating 3 dismembers per round, its pretty difficult to figure out north east west south up down, especially if you are cornered in a room. Id take blind any day since I can cure it and I can still run around blinded without getting mixed up.
Varak did get frustrated and throw himself at kyrsztak a couple times. So that would be a couple of those deaths. Necro vs. illu is a tough fight for the necro. You're not going to be able to match that dupe damage. With the duplicates popping, or all to attack the dupes might have been an interesting strategy.
A necromancer can match an Illusionist's damage quite easily, granted they had the right amount of time and luck for preperation. Ghoul frenzy will play a big part too, but the fight can go either way. Someone risks getting one rounded, but Illusionist's can't duplicate lvl 60 mobs.
Illu dupes lose no power when they get duplicated. They hit as hard as their host and on top of that can get an Extra attack from haste. Three marines can be doing 12 massacres per round. Necro zombies lose power from their host. They will not get extra attacks per round. And they take forever to attain. Illu just shows up and has an immediate army.
Necromancers mob level is a great boost to army potential. I'd much rather have 10 levels on 3 60 zombies, as opposed to 3 50 duplications. It's a preference thing.
@Varak: I didn't like some things about you, but that was more along the lines of personality. Better luck with the next character.
Fighting warrior classes that level differential might be a difference maker. And it would also take a fuck-ton of time to get an army of that caliber.
But in an illu vs. necro fight, those illu dupes are going to do a number on the necro more or less regardless of their rank because necros have shitty defenses.
Okay the only way I could even match the justice In a fight was if I blinded him but as soon as I did that he went shadow form and hid in town I tried to dispel hi dups failed everytime and are shit ton of damage even when I had both defenses weapon ward and protective spell up I just think they are op with the memories tactic it would be bad ass if necros can just pop in with a army I'd take a cap to not be able to raise over a certain rank for that in all honesty
In my opinion, I think illusionist only need a more wide range duplicates to duplicate, especially playing an evil illusionist. Make duplicates last a little longer and have them not vanish if the master flees and the hour passes.
Illusionists dont get that immediate army. Also, he has to CHOOSE between being really healthy or really accurate. If he decides that he wants health instead of hitroll, his duplicates are going to be terrible. Even with good hitroll, there is still a chance that his duplicates will be bad. Also, I wouldn't say he killed you over and over. You threw yourself at him almost every time. There is an incredibly easy way to avoid fighting Justices. STAY IN TOWN and DONT GET WANTED/BOUNTIED/OUTLAWED. Simple.
Illusionists are pretty OP now. They were balanced before, but their playstyle was super shitty as long as they were fighting someone decent. Nobody would fight an illu with a full army, and the illu wouldn't fight without it. So fighting didn't really happen outside of ganks, and this is one way to address that.
Also, Mr. Forgotten, you're a little off about the effects of hitroll. It doesn't affect the strength of dupes, just the chance for the 100% level 'adoring eyes' version.
Compared to the amount of time a necro has to spend to get the army vs. illusionist, I would say illu immediately gets the army.
Not to mention the fact that illu has a more diverse spell selection. Necro can fuck you up with sleep, but they're all mal, so you can save against it. Illu has a nice array of mal spells to complement their mentals.
I said nothing about hitroll affecting whether or not it affects the strength of the dupe. I said hitroll affects the chance of whether they will be bad or good.
Trying to tell him that Illusionsists power really depends on their hitroll now. If he has shitty hitroll, his duplicates WILL more often than not, be terrible. There is still a chance they'll be good, but higher hitroll = better chance at 'adoring eyes' duplicates. Lower hitroll= higher chance of blurry or hazy duplicates.
So maybe... duplicates can be recalled once for every time the spell is cast on the mob. That way an illusionist can sit ready with a push button army if they want, but after that timer runs out, they still have to go and get more? One could never be sure if an illu had an army ready to recall or not, unless you saw them log in. Only recalling once would make the pets truly random in strength though, you couldn't try over and over to get a perfect set unless you spent the time near the mobs like you had to before.
