The Emissary
Vari is the 2nd born daughter of the very powerful House Viantyrr in Underdark. From a young age it was apparent that Vari was clearly more gifted than her older sister Ullande; she was more intelligent, more physically gifted, and more favored by the elders of the city. In Underdark there is already a malevolent competitiveness that exists amongst the drow, but the hatred Ullande had for her sister was epic. Ullande, as the rightful heir to the House Viantyrr, tolerated her sister's brilliance, however, when the rumors of Vari becoming the successor to House Viantyrr started, it sent Ullande into a rage. Ullande decided that she needed to murder her sister so that she could solidify her claim to the house. A simple death was not good enough for Ullande, she wanted Vari to suffer as much as she had suffered. With the help of some bribed house slaves, Ullande poisoned Vari's evening meal, and when she was unconscious, she had her dragged out to the Underdark. Ullande broke both of Vari's legs and threw her into a deep pit filled with tiny poisonous spiders. Ullande knew that Vari would never be able to escape the pit with two broken legs, and that the spiders would give Vari a very slow and painful death. When Vari finally awoke she found herself broken at the bottom of the pit covered in spiders. She tried to fight them away, but with the inability to escape, it was only a matter of time until she succumbed to the spiders and their poison. She lay broken and battered on the floor, poison from a hundred spider bites coursing through her veins. She writhed in pain and anger, but refused to give in to the embrace of death. After many days of this pain, still refusing to die, something strange happened. An ancient giant white spider descended into the pit and pushed aside the smaller spiders. She peered curiously at the pitiful creature before her, and seemed to wonder why the drow refused to die. She marveled and the dedication of this drow, and pondered something that she had been dwelling on for milleniums. It seemed fate had dropped this strong willed creature at her feet, would this be the creature that would help bring the ancient spider back to the glory and the power that it once knew so long ago? The Ancient White Spider Queen decided that this was indeed her champion. She spun a large sac around Vari to mend her broken body, and spoke to the young drow with her mind. She spoke to Vari about her desires, and told her to go forth to the surface to prepare the land for Her return. When Vari was healed, the Queen unraveled her from her web. Just as Vari was about to begin her lifelong quest, the Queen told Vari to take her new sisters with her. Vari nodded, and then smiled wickedly as scores of tiny white spiders emereged from beneath the Queen to accompany Vari.

Description:

Before you is an alluringly, sensual, and svelte drow. Her ebony skin is impossibly smooth and beautifully taut, and her well toned body moves with the grace of a dancer. Her eyes are a pale red, and have a distant faraway look them, almost as if she is thinking about something other than the present. The clothing she wears is well cared for, but every single article appears to be lightly covered in fine spider webs. Her brilliant white hair is pulled back from her elegant face in an intricate braid that falls to the small of her back. It is healthy and smooth, but it also appears to writhe in a perplexing manner. Upon further inspection you realize that her hair is filled with scores of tiny white spiders that dance and crawl within her deftly woven braid.

Had great plans for the character, really enjoyed the RP and wanted to make the most of it. It felt good for a while to be back in AR after years of grinding CF which had become dull.

Sadly, I have no clue what happened or why I was being punished, all I know is that I lost link (3rd world internet ftl) for some minutes, Rohandric, Darzan and I suppose the small Justice went to invade because they could not catch me. I came back with skull taken, from recent helpfiles I knew that I am not forced to suicide into retrieval when not yet pinnacled.

So I quit to go and charge more credit to my phone to keep using the internet, later on I got a message "You have lost the Gods favour." - no explanation of what I did wrong or why or for how long. Did try to send a note, ask help on IRC (afterall it was under Support section on new webpage) but whoever was the immortal who did this chose to ignore me instead.

So the journey comes to an end and I will move on, or probably back to CF and will probably restrain myself from ever attempting to play this mud again because this was a bit too rude to someone who has spent close to 70 hours of training their character.

Next time, tell the person what he did wrong, where he did wrong, even OOC so one can actually learn and improve, not ignore them.

    Have fun,
    Vari

No edit button but my "punishment" included not able to use mentor channel (God knows I did my best to help all new players), not able to flee or recall and not use any communication via Pray. Just for those who wonder what it was.

From what I was able to gather, our Immortals have built a credible case that you're m1c0, a.k.a. the worst cheater of last decade. Suspicious interactions and other red flags giving that away, as well as a way of behaving like him.

I think an effort to keep m1c0 out is worthwhile. We have had "collateral damage" in the past, and worked it out with the player and they've joined the playerbase.

There is an appeals process if you don't think our Immortals made the right call and would like to follow up.

My interactions with this individual were all good. Whether fighting against her or with her. I didn't see anything OOC, or untoward. I can't see the IP/ISP stuff you guys can see, but I certainly am around a lot and didn't notice anything terrible. Good RP, that I noticed.

Feel free to put this one as needing validation, I am only attempting to help give what information I can.

Of course there are two sides to every story - if it is a case of mistaken identity (on the internet) why are you been confused with somebody who has been banned ? If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck, quacks like a duck... its kind of a win-win for us

see now it is hard to take someone who runs around and ninja loots or w/e seriously as a totally new player to the game that has only good intentions.

So if this person was M1co why would you not deny them outright? Not let them continue playing just with some restrictions. Sounds like BS to me. QQ

We've tried. Denying and banning m1c0 isn't enough to discourage him from playing.

Here's the last penalty note I wrote about mico:

                        To: immortal
m1co sent me a tell as a level 1 asking what it would take to get into
Legion so I slayed him and denied his main.

Then he started throwing a fit and logged in invokation pretending to be
Adebaldi so I denied all his characters and called him a bitch

What he's going for here is that he's trying to piss off the imms because he's salty and mad that I won't let him cheat anymore. His strategy of evading bans and just continuing to cheat worked for a long time because most imms don't enjoy punishing players. It actually makes them really upset and wears them down.

Also there are a lot of imm arguments when players are punished because the imm staff really loves the game and will often side with a player over another imm in a confrontation. This kind of stuff does actually wear you down and make you not want to imm anymore. That's why it's such a problem when one of you guys does something like go blatantly OOC, you are actually ruining someone's night for real when an imm has to talk to you.

Please remember this the next time you want to jump ooc and call people faggots in-game.

Anyway the reason this won't work anymore for m1co is that now that I'm around there's an imm who actually enjoys dunking on him. I'll go way out of my way to piss m1co off in creative and fun ways because it makes me happy. I enjoy being better than him in every way and proving it over and over.

Imo, it doesn't take much of a pysychology genius to understand that Nycticora's biggest love is to powertrip non-stop on the expense of other players.

All the signs are there, if you take a closer look at his actions, motifs and interactions with other players, it's rather hilarious how much this guy tries to be something or someone powerful because obviously he is a little nobody irl. There is no other reason for someone to behave like this but to compensate for a "small penis" irl (by that I mean probably being ugly, still a virgin and not having many if any friends at all).

Also, if you think that proving yourself "better" than someone in some hardly-alive game which has a strict club of about 10 players who are playing this game on and off then you are even more pathetic than I originally thought.

Keep copying shit from WoW and other games, that's what you are good at. Literally every new skill/spell from Nycticora is DIRECTLY copied from either WoW or Carrion Fields. I am not sure how Davairus permits that, it's rather sad.

Btw, where's the credit for me when I originally thought and presented the ideas of armor types, bucklers that can go with two-handers, account system for characters and other stuff which I described and presented on IRC before they were implemented. Eh, I suppose if WoW and CF gets no credit then why would I?

Not to shit on anyone's sandbox, but just because of Nycticora blatantly ruining the game with retarded changes/updates and powertripping his little man's ass off, then this game now deserve a constructive review on TMS and TMC to make sure new players will not waste their time with getting fucked for no good reason.

All the eq I had I worked my ass off for, either bribing or spending hours on getting a single item. Two items I ever vultured were from Trinne's corpse, fine amber sleeves (which were originally mine anyway) and frost burnt bracelet.

As always, people talking shit without a clue. Get some please, you make yourself look retarded.
