A plain-looking gnome is before you. His white eyebrows poke out from the side of his face, parallel with pointed ears, and they pivot up and down as he speaks. His eyes are weathered like his travelling gear, and you notice a stray piece of grass stuck in his white beard. He moves warily, and carries a perpetual look of fear and worry. Further inspection reveals tiny bits of leaves, moss, and twigs that are apparently suspended in patterns on the surface of his clothing. You recognize the patterns to be wards against evil side-by-side with the holy symbol of Denadlyr. The suspensions of foliage draw your eyes to metallic surfaces on his raiment, which miraculously swirl with living engravings that flash from scene to scene: humanoid figures moving together, clashing, and finally resting.
