The Prodigal Son
Xaltor's first pleasant memories are of the vast icy tundra that he called home. On clear days, when the buffetting winds of winter would cease, he would look far to the south across the barren highlands and gaze at his ancestral homeland, his birthright, standing proudly amidst the snowcapped peaks. Xaltor's parents, his sole guardians in this unforgiving land, were banished from the great Keep of Mahn-Tor for the love they possessed for one another. Xaltor was, or so he was told, a child who was not meant to be, for Xaltor's mother was promised to another bull, one of greater birth than his own father. Stubborn and skilled as they were, Xaltor's parents fought for their love, and for the life of their yet-to-be-born child. Thus they were banished from Mahn-Tor, exiled to the barren highlands where the ferocious beasts and the ceaseless cold should have taken them. But they did not die. Resourceful as they were stubborn, Xaltor's parents raised their son outside of the relatively comforting walls of Mahn-Tor. Strengthened by the wild beasts of the land, Xaltor grew to be a bull of prodigal strength and skill. But the young Xaltor dreamed of more than the simple life of a wild hunter. He yearned for the glory of battle, to be hailed by his comrades for his feats of strength and courage. Xaltor's knew that his fate would lead him to the gates of Mahn-Tor, where he could challenge the great Minotaur Chieftain himself, and restore honor to his family.

Description (commended):

A smell of bovine sweat, caked dirt, and old blood fills your nostrils before you lay eyes on the hulking behemoth before you. Enveloping his lumbering frame is a shaggy and sweat-matted coat of coarse fur, so deep an oaken color as to nearly be construed as black. His barrel chest sits squarely atop a thick waist, supported by two trunk-like hooven legs. His bovine head lurches forward from his body atop a brawny neck resembling that of a Shire Stallion. The ears of this creature are long, extending as half-dangling triangular masses adorned with rings and scars in equal proportions. They dangle underneath black, ribbed, front-curling horns that end in cracked points just before they reach this creature's nose. A coarse, black beard frames his jawline, spittle-covered where the goatee meets his mouth. His eyes are deep-set wells of blackness, reflecting the world around them in a slightly reddish hue.

So first off, I want to say that I had an absolute BLAST with this character. He was my first PVP based character, and I strictly made him as a learning tool, but ended up loving the character that he became. Ultimately, I decided to delete because I don't have a lot of time these days and didn't want the stress of holding on and loosing rares.

I met some amazing people along the way. Almost everyone was super fun to roleplay with, and the pvp'ers were extremely helpful and willing to give me some really sound advice. Particular shout-outs (in chronological order) go to:

Conundo: We didn't have a lot of time together, but I learned a lot from when you were around. Thanks for inducting me and giving me a crash course on a few things.

Yngfre: MAN that was fun! I've never developed an emotional connection like that to a friend in this game before, and you BROKE MY HEART when you betrayed me. But it always felt true to character. Good times.

Kaio: You were like a mystery novel that just kept getting more complex the more I got to know you. Thanks for the time spent advising me and helping me gear up.

Mandin: Biggest contributor for how to fight other classes - you were great. Thank you for all of the help.

Ultimately, I loved this guy, but I found him to be very frustrating when playing against knowledgeable players. The low dex is a major crutch, so I'm either fighting blind all of the time (which is a major crutch for a berserker) or I have to rage early to burn the dirt out of my eyes, and any PvP'er worth their salt slices me up like Sunday dinner. No Salt here though folks -- I know other people learn how to deal with the crutch well (e.g. Conundo, Barnir, etc..), I just found it really didn't fit my style of fighting. Anyways, since making Xaltor I've tried out a few other races that are much less beefy but are a lot quicker, and I found this suits my play-style a lot better.

I already can't wait to make my return to the Warlords. You all were a fantastic bunch, and the powers... OOO THE POWERS...

    Until next time, friends.

No I didn't have enough interactions with him to know. His accent was pretty cool though. And consistent.

                    1. I liked this guy. The accent was cool and I had some good interactions with you. With that said, I think you gave up a little too soon. You were picking it up, but you did not play mino zerker to its fullest. I look forward to seeing your next character, but I have to say no on HoE.

Ah Xaltor, I enjoyed the quirky accent and your skills definitely improved through the course of your character's life. That was great to see. I remember watching during the Cracked Skull Tournament and a Justice saw your wild axe wielded in town. He fined you and told you to give it up. You were very respectful of the Justice, but said alas I cannot do that. Then proceeded to charge on his ass, that was great.

You'll be missed, I hope you make another Warlord some time soon.
