Yarbok was hatched on a moonless night in the swampland west of
Seringale. Fending for himself, he quickly dispatched his brothers and
sisters for which to sustain himself in his early days of growth. Ten days
had passed since his day of hatching and he had grown exponentially in size.
Looking for more food, he slithered his way into the murky water where,
unbeknownst to him, a Siren lurked. Yarbok swam here and there, swallowing
tadpoles and other reptillian creatures whole. Eventually, he came across
the Siren and attempted to flee knowing they possessed magical powers. The
Siren delighted in Yarbok's hatred and fear, finding him rather cute. But
she wanted a creature of unparallel ability as her protector and so, as she
picked up the tiny Yarbok, she whispered in an ancient tongue and Yarbok
started growing before her very eyes. His clawed feet merged together to
form an enormous tail on which he would stand. Fins sprouted from his
forearms and spikes grew from his spine. Yarbok had been magically
transformed into a fearsome Naga. He served as the Siren's guardian, as was
her will, but she grew tired of him and cast him aside, hoping to find
something else to keep her company. With nothing to do but fight and feed,
Yarbok started to slither his way around Thera.
Description:
Beady black eyes gaze steadily ahead from a narrow serpent-like face. Blackish scales cover the length of this creature's body, shimmering red as his muscles flex and bend beneath the iron hard hide. No hair decorates his scalp, instead curved spikes start at the tip of his nose and gradually grow in size as they reach to the middle of his back. A large serpentine-like tail as thick as a tree trunk rests coiled beneath his torso. A pair of slits sit just above a wide mouth filled with rows upon rows of dagger-like teeth and a pink tongue flicks out occassionally, testing the air for any signs of prey or danger. Odd and ends of various armaments have been strapped across his body and a plain brown cloak flows in the wind behind him.
