'POTION MIXING'
Each spell has an element, e.g. earth for armor spell. Mixing
potions in a cauldron causes the elements they are made of to
interact and potentially cause a reaction. Here are the types
of reaction you may see.
Identical elements: An example of this is mixing a recall potion
with a teleport potion, which are both luck spells. In this case
you can either result in a combined potion with both spells, or
strengthen one of the potions, or potentially discover a new spell
that is of the same element.
Opposite elements: These cause violent reactions. In this case you
may cause a cloud of poisonous gas, a monster summoning, among
other effects. It may even just explode.
Elements that are "three apart" e.g. ice (sleep) and air (fly) spells.
This forms a potion of the elements between the two, in this case
you could create a potion of plague.
Only two elements can be mixed at once - any more than that, the
mixture will ignite and explode.
