'SPECTRE' Spectres are the spirits who do not exist within the boundaries of Serin's mortal races. They are fragments of souls lost into the Abyss and born half-mortal and half-undead. These spectres are often summoned to Serin's plane for various duties, such as guarding access to other planes or carrying out specific tasks for their Masters. They are unleashed from the Abyss and imbued into the souls of newborn just as their "Life" is birthed into Serin, corrupting it with the Eternal Shadow. The birth of a spectre requires a taxing ritual, only to be performed by the most devout priests of Darkness and, when successful, the phantasm will be born into the plane of Serin in the half-corporeal form, shaped and molded by the appearance of newborn victim, yet forever tainted and stained by Death itself.
