Yeah, I did not mean to derail the sound discussion into that level of depth about my weapon switch stuff. It was just an example for the point I was trying to make which was simply that I don't know if competitive balance is something you should worry about with sound. Just do what you think is cool and / or nice for the players. The competitive advantage landscape is already so complex, as is the knowledge advantage, that I am not convinced anything you could do with sound will meaningfully impact it. |
