I like the idea of combat messages being customized a bit

Dav and Amdorin's idea's pretty good.

I like 'misses' being a color, and agree that dodge/parry/block/etc messages could be also

And on the same note...

Could there be a way to turn on Brief Battle Descriptions? Sometimes the messages that you dodge or block are so long, it's not easy to pay much attention to in combat. Maybe a brief "You dodge his slash" instead of the more detailed description.

If that could happen, i'd like a way to turn it on/off, 'cos I do enjoy the more detailed messages at times
