Alright so in looking at how cabals run each city in a way, valour knights, seringale justice, darkhaven legion, timaran...mystic? These are sort of like city states, which reminded me of 300 and (my history 101 class which i didn't pay attention to) and how sparta was military based. I thought, huh what would it be like if darkhaven was ran like that? With Legion as the commanding officers. Just an idea, lemme know what you guys think. |

Oh....my.....god.....! Another harry potter movie!!!!? YESSS!
Maybe we should just go ahead and add the Deathstar to take the place of the Legion cabal, with the rebel base as the knights, and seringale could be endor, and just add the race Ewok;) |

I still don't like starwars anymore than when you guys brought it up, im not saying that it should be like the movie, im just saying since the cities are being run like city states it'd be cool to see what it would look like for someone to make one military based. |

Speaking of star wars, the Darkhaven atmosphere is more like the bar that Han Solo is introduced in. Lawless and seedy, and everyone in there is for hire. Hence the name "Darkhaven" - its a hangout for murderers with a considerable stockpile of weaponry to ensure the law-makers stay out. That kind of setting would have to be controlled by a dictator, like a crime boss type figure that's just so wealthy and well protected, he's untouchable, it'd be the only way to have any order at all in the place. I mean, he'd literally have to be there. (Guessing that guy is Gasparo) ....
I dont know why the Darkhaven guards and guilds were put there at all. Those didn't make any sense in the actual setting. Probably would be better to repair the setting than try to turn it into Mordor. |

Gasparo isn't the boss, in the quest it say, "Although he is not it's leader, as a member he is well protected..." So another mob would have to be invented (or the quest changed to say he is boss). But yeah, I like that idea..... Davairus'...
(Oh add-n suggestion to that idea. Make some of the people there attack Justices on-sight to show it is true chaotic place?) |

Yeah there is a boss. Vinnie. He's like the godfather, except playing it totally behind the scenes type dealy.
Or maybe Gasparo is really playin it behind the scenes.
Or maybe it's Aerin the Bank keeper now.. handling all the money about. |

What if Darkhaven had someone like Luca Brasi? and if he killed you, you should get a dead fish. |

Nah, someone already tried the mafia rp and i'm not sure it works for a medeval setting, although technically the mafia bit can be traced back to well before the european renaissance with the Medici family controlling most of Florence economy wise.
Legion would certainly fill that roll but seeing as they commit what they want purely through acts of violence and not so much intimidation or controlling sources. Now on the other hand if Legion were to say, infiltrate the Heralds and censor what they wrote then maybe it would be more mafia like. |
