The monthly rare purge has been updated. Required playtime varies for
each item and purged items will be replaced with gambled eq.

The new rare purge system has been implemented and will be used at the end of January purge (we never purge at the end of December). There are two main changes from the existing system. First, the number of hours required to keep an item is now based on the rarity of the item. You may need more than 20 hours to keep something like the unique mace of disruption, but playing more than 10 hours will be enough to keep spiked garde. Most items fall somewhere in between. Second, any purged items will be replaced with gambled eq whether you're online or not when the purge happens. If you lose one or more weapons to the purge, the replacement is an avg 18 exotic. There is no replacement for held items or non-wearable items. If you're online when the purge happens, you'll see your items poof. If you're offline, you'll receive a note with a list of what you lost. Guild points no longer protect you from a purge.

Does two unique item mean 40 hours requirement or it applies across the board?

Is there a way to know how many hours is required for each item?

If you have enough time to keep uniques, you have enough to keep everything else. It's up to Davairus if he wants to disclose all the numbers.

Well I think the cool thing is you get a decent gambled item instead of being stripped naked, which leaves you vulnerable. It has a chance to be a better item but its a gambled item so who knows
