I'm still somewhat new to the realms and I was wondering what real benefit the eternal day and everlasting night spells have and what are some good situations to use them in? Just a thought. |

not experienced at all in this field, but from the obvious, i'd guess:
eternal day - anti-vamps
everlasting night - if opponent has no light/infrared...?? |

It doesn't work on vampires. I don't really think it does anything... |

Those skills probably have good RP potential, but not sure about their practical use. Someone with more experience of ills might have an idea though.
Do paladins still get cleanse room? Never found a use for that one. |

I asked this question before. I was told, among other things, that night was used against druids and that day was and still is used against vamps. However, with no active vamps and no druids period you'll find little use for it now a days. |

Theyre just spells to show off the power of a level 50 illusionist, like, wow, he can fool everybody to think the night is lasting forever. It affirms how superb a level 50 illusionist is at deceptive magic. Training it is optional, as with everything else. No reason for it to be "reworked" or anything, just because the usefulness is limited. |

It's kinda like ventriloquism in ar, just really useless but cool to mess with people. |

I think these were removed, I'll add them back someday if so. There were bugs and these spells would last forever back in the day instead of wearing off when the spell expired. Either I fixed it when we added wildfire or Dav or Olyn got it when Blanket of Darkness was fixed for shamans of a certain religion, so these spells could be added back. They might need balance tweaks. Or someone might have already fixed and added them back for all I know. |
