Like the title can we have limited items that become changed in anyway not count against the limit.

This would put a boost in popular items as people run to the fireforge.

So you're saying if you augment/enchant a rare, it doesn't count against the 4 you can have in your inventory (assuming lvl 50)? If that's what you're suggesting, hard pass.

I think he means when the item is changed, it doesnt count against the total number allowed. Like, if you had say, charcoal trousers and you imbue them into a set, Than, the charcoal pants no longer count as charcoal pants and you could go get another pair from evermore? Is that what you mean?

Tayyah, that's engraving. Augment is where you add a random stat to an item at the Fireforge. I have yet to see any penalty at all for augmenting, so I would not be in favor of a change that meant using it would allow you to hoard as much as your weight allows.

I guess we could make the recipe require sacrificing the legbands of order or something else from level 50 badass mobs (and not a requested thing). i thought the prismatic shard input was bad enough. if it required that, then what he suggested is maybe reasonable

Well, tayyah gets me. I meant the number of limited items would go back up for the entire realm when an item gets enchanted, augmented or imbued.

Inventory should still be limited to four, unless it is dragon heads, those should be unlimited if you can carry the weight.

Well it seems like a much more reasonable suggestion when you phrase it that way. I'm still not sure about putting that kind of thing on augment, since you could realistically augment every single item you're wearing in a single trip, but it's in interesting thought for engrave and imbue, which both take investment.

This could potentially allow more players with a unique set.

Wolf's Malice for example
-hammer unique
-crown unique

Enchant the hammer and augment the crown, now these items can be found again.

Imbue for sure should add the item back to the realm limit because it fully changes an item. (Asssuming it does not already)

Engrave, augment and enchant are a little questionable in my opinion. I like the idea of enchanting a unique weapon and it becomes available again, but how strict do you want to be with unique items?

This will help with availability of limited items for new players, assuming it is old players at the ol fireforge.

Grayden, you don't see how this can be easily exploitable if such a change is made? What is stopping anyone from just "enchant armor" once on the crown from malice set, and then obtaining another from the mob?
This entirely defeats the purpose of "unique" and "rare" flags for such items.

Good burn, Bladefury. I was going to make a comment about PK scripting but your comment is better.

The only way I would be on board with this idea is for Imbue. Engrave, enchant, all the rest do not do anything. Imbue changes the item into a random item essentially. For imbue, have it sacrifice the item and rename it completely into a level appropriate rare of that slot. That way you go get boots of protection. Imbue them into something else, and another set of boots of protection is available. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense. Imbue renames the item, without a rename the item stays the same and should not recirculate.

I go back and forth debating if the game needs another endgame set or not. Either way it should stay unique that way you can hoard a piece from Xenyar.
